"This is the 2nd time I've hired Energy Attic to install foil barrier and additional insulation into my attic, as well as 3 additional solar fans on the roof. Everyone from Kristina in the office, to Travis in sales, to Guy and Randy checking in several times, and Paco and his excellent team of installers - were outstanding and professional in every way! This is the 2nd house in Flower Mound we've lived in, and having this work done was a priority on our checklist, given the success of lowering utility costs in my former house. Having foil barrier in the attic dramatically lowers the temperature inside, which in Texas summers can be 120 degrees or more. The foil barrier keeps out the heat. You can actually store things in the attic if you want to. Also it doesn't interfere if you have to get your roof repaired or replaced like I did in 2017 due to a major hail storm. I had the team blow in enough insulation to bring the r value up to 49 and they did a very thorough and clean job. The 3 solar fans look great and provide additional ventilation. Don't be fooled by painted barrier companies, because paint degrades. Foil barrier is permanent. "If I could provide Harsin Energy Services with a higher rating I would. Mike and his crew were great, very professional, and delivered a great product all while being the lowest cost option. I had blown in insulation added, a wind turbine added to the roof and some soffit vents added around the perimeter. Mike and his crew arrived on time and had the work completed within the day. The house was built in 1954, pier and beam, is approximately 1900 sqft and was in desperate need of insulation - the existing insulation was bare in some spots and about 4” deep in others. As soon as the work was done I immediately noticed the AC not kicking on nearly as often and a more consistent temperature throughout the house; the same is true with the heat as we moved into the winter. Comparing my bills from one year to the next I’ve already saved on average about $55 a month. If you have an insulation need or even aren’t sure give Mike a call!"

"<p>Mike Watson of Garland Insulating came to my home to measure my walls. He was professional and courteous. He calculated the cost of blown-in Johns Mannville white fiberglass insulation at the above quote. Then he emailed the quote to me. I signed, scanned, and returned the acceptance paper by email. Then on November 26 of this year, Pedro and Lucio arrived shortly after 8 a.m. I explained to them where the insulation was to be installed and they began to work, prepping the rooms with plastic dropcloths for the floor. I had already moved furniture from the wall area and covered everything with dropcloths. Mr. Watson arrived around 9 a.m. to check on the job. He also brought us, me included, breakfast from the local McDonald's. I was still in the process of clearing kitchen cabinets. Pedro and Lucio had begun blowing in the insulation. I think Pedro did this part and Lucio drilled 3-inch holes in the walls. All of this was done from the inside of my home and that was exactly what I had asked Mr. Watson to do. I knew there would be dust, but because the weather was nice, I opened all windows to help with air circulation. Of course, I turned off the central heat and locked the cat in the main bathroom, along with an oil-filled radiant heater for him to stay warm. We ran into a snag when the men made it to the kitchen. Originally, I had planned to remove the backsplash I had installed ten years ago but electrical outlets and all the work involved made it an impossibility. Instead, Pedro said he could blow the insulation from an opening and place it everywhere in the walls. That is exactly what he did. Lucio located the places in the sheet rock that made the opening in the walls accessible. All in all, they were done in three hours.</p> <p>The difference the insulation has made was immediate. There was absolutely no insulation in my exterior walls. The kitchen was always cold because it faces the north. My feet would freeze while standing at the sink. Dishes and all cooking utensils stored in the cabinets were always ice cold. Not any longer! Yahoo! I can hardly wait to see how this impacts my electricity and natural gas bill. My small walk-in closet is no longer a freezer and it is on the south side of my home. The bedrooms are warm and I can set my thermostat to 76 degrees and actually feel comfortable.</p> <p>Another insulating company I found on Angie's List would have charged me more than what I paid Garland Insulating and the insulation they would have installed was cellulose. Also, the other company refused to come to my home to measure my walls. Instead, the salesman and quot;estimatedand quot; the cost and it was over $200 higher. I also did not find Garland Insulating on Angie's List until AFTER I contacted Lowe's. Lowe's gave me the name of a tile man who then asked my permission to share my need with Garland Insulating. Even though I found Garland Insulating on Angie's List AFTER Lowe's helped me, I am completing the review here. Interestingly enough, when I searched for Garland Insulating later, the business popped up. I wonder why I didn't find it first here? I've lived long enough to realize that everything happens for a reason and in its time to happen. God always has His hand in when it comes to meeting my needs. "Contacted energy attic usa for information on their products and received an abundance of help from two very kind and friendly people- Kent and Amy.  They are a husband and wife team that take great pride in what they do, the american made products that they use, and in customer satisfaction.  I had many questions that related to my existing air conditioning unit and ductwork and Kent was more than happy to answer ALL of my questions!  I had originally planned to be home on the day of the scheduled install, but an emergency came up with one of their employees and so they had to reschedule the work at my house.  I was not happy because I wanted to be at home when the work took place and could not take off from work.  Kent understood and gave me his word that he would stay at my house and oversee the work until everything was completed.   Overall, I was very happy that I used this company and would recommend them to anyone else.  They displayed quality work and to my delight- left all the areas where they had worked clean!  Cynthia <br />"

"Matt was great to work with. He was honest, fair, and helped me find the modern design I was looking for in the budget I could afford. His team arrived and installed both doors in one day. They took care of everything including hauling away the old doors and replacing the trim around the new ones. The only con was that it was separate to paint the front door; it would have been nice for it to be included, or at least for the painter to paint it before it was installed. But it was a minor complaint compared to the overall outcome of the project."

Worth area.  We found our attic spaces intolerably hot in the summer and subsequently our garage, as well.  I contacted Energy Shield whose representative promptly came out to see me and tell me what this company could do for us to keep our attic spaces and garage cooler.  We first decided on a Radiant Barrier and extra insulation over the main part of the house and a fan over the garage.  Being extremely happy with the outcome in the main attic in that it was tolerable to be up there, we chose to have the space over the garage set up with a Radiant Barrier and insulation, as well.  So the workers at Energy Shield came back a second time to complete this work.  We can see that the garage is not the broiling hot place it was before and are happy with the outcome of both visits."
