"Great scheduling. Prompt. Charged double the going rate to replace the toilet. The toilet is fine, but not $540 dollars worth of fine. They also broke our toilet paper holder in the process."

"Glenoak came out to reinstall a toilet that had been leaking .  While there, they noticed a leak from the pressure tank, which needed to be replaced.  They went out for the part w/o charging us for that time or travel.  Unfortunately, the replacement part didn?t work, and ultimately they had to replace the entire toilet.  They fixed a small gas pipe leak near our furnace while there, too.

Very professional, punctual, and competent.

"Mr. Fama had not remembered or written down the appointment time and so came to my house before I got home. Once that was straightened out, he worked very hard to remove my old stubborn faucet and installed my new one. He made sure that it was installed correctly and there were no leaks."

"Dean first helped me out by offering a do-it-yourself solution to freeing a toy my toddler dropped down the drain. Rather than coming over and charging me for the job, he gave me free, friendly advice. Later, he replaced a failing sump pump (a job I couldn't handle on my own). Throughout the process, Dean was great at communication. He clearly explained my options and walked me through what the work would entail.  He finished over the course of a morning, going the extra mile to thoroughly seal the custom cover.

FAQs for well pump installation and replacement projects in Freeland, MD

Signs that your well pressure tank requires replacement include inconsistent water pressure, your pump turning on and off frequently (known as short cycling), visible leaks around the tank, or unusual noises from your well system. Physical damage, corrosion, or a tank that's reached its seven to 10-year expected lifespan may also indicate it's time for replacement. When multiple issues arise simultaneously, replacement often proves more economical than attempting repairs.

The timeframe for professional well pressure tank replacement varies depending on your specific system and any complications that might arise during installation. Factors that can affect installation time include accessibility of your current tank, whether additional components need replacement, and the complexity of your well system. For precise timing expectations, consult with the professional handling your installation.

Attempting to replace your well pressure tank involves several potential risks, including improper pressure calibration that could damage your pump, contamination of your water supply, and physical injury from handling heavy equipment. Additionally, incorrect installation might lead to water leaks, property damage, or system inefficiency. Many manufacturers also specify that professional installation is required to maintain warranty coverage, making the $125 to $200 professional installation fee a worthwhile investment for most homeowners.
