"Vintage Air called to confirm the appointment then texted me when he was on his way. His van was professionally signed identifying his company. He was courteous, professional and knowledgeable. "Their crew arrived promptly at 7:00 am. Carlos explained what each crew member would be doing. They increased the insulation in my attic. They also discovered that the ducts had been attached to the vents with plain duct tape. The duct tape had become gooey due to heat and had slipped off the vents in many places. This allowed out side air and dust to enter, spreading dust out of the vents. It also allowed cooled air to escape into the attic. The corrected all of the duct work connections. Jeff came to check the work upon completion. He ran tests to verify that the work had been done correctly, and he replaced all of the "regular" light bulbs with cal bulbs. All of the work was done quickly and neatly.

"I called James to fix a sound problem on my laptop that my husband was unable to resolve. He came to my office and not only fixed that issue, but several others that he found.  Additionally, on a subsequent day, I was unable to print anything, called James, and he remotely fixed the issue.
I am VERY thankful that I found North Alabama Technical Services! James is professional and personable in addition to being extremely knowledgeable. He really knows his stuff, and I highly recommend him. Why waste time and energy trying to fix things yourself and add to your problems when you can have someone like James actually fix it quickly and the right way the first time? Plus there's no anxiety and cussing --- and everyone who has tried and failed to solve computer issues yourself knows what I'm talking about!

"Everything went fine, until I asked that he replace the shutoff gate valves with 1/4 turn valves. He eemurred saying that would be another hour's work and I would have to pay extra. I had a different plumber install similar fixtuires and the valves in two hours for two basins. When I asked about this I was told that this was their standard practice, and the technician was not happy with the coupon arrangement that he claimed was set up by Angie's List without input from the company. While the work was done professionally, I was surprised that he wanted another hour to install the two valves and that I got this story about disagreement between the AL sales department and his company.

"Frank came out to do a yearly maintenance/tune-up and he was extremely thorough. In fact, I've never had such a thorough inspection of our units. He inspected the units to the nth degree. He found 3 relatively inexpensive (as compared to having to buy new motors or compressors) parts that were going bad and needed to be replaced to keep the motors from burning out. I'm amazed at how each system is cooling now. I had no idea that the units weren't cooling like they were supposed to. Frank must have been here 3 hours inspecting everything. He was prompt and professional. He got right to work as soon as he arrived. He was very friendly and explained everything he was doing and how the units should work. I got a lesson in air conditioners. He even had a diagram to show me where and why the parts needed replacing.
