"I contacted Bluestar Air Mechanical for a second opinion after an appointment with Air One. I have a Carrier HVAC system, and the Air One technician recommended a complete system replacement, claiming the blower was bad, the furnace control board needed replacing, and that there were other issues. Since replacing the HVAC is a big investment, I wanted to get a second opinion. It was only after comparing the service from Bluestar that I realized Air One may have been pushing for a new system sale or lacked the expertise to properly diagnose and repair the actual problems. Isaac, the technician from Bluestar, spent about an hour thoroughly diagnosing and fixing the issues. He found burnt wiring in the furnace and discovered that the wrong capacitor had been incorrectly installed in the AC. Isaac replaced the burnt wiring in the furnace and the capacitor in the AC. After these repairs, my Carrier system was back up and running—without the need for a costly replacement. Bluestar, and Isaac in particular, demonstrated professionalism, expertise, and honesty. They focused on resolving the actual issues instead of pushing for an unnecessary system replacement. "McCrea replaced a 20 year old HVAC system with a new Trane 4-ton XL16i condenser, XV80 furnace and new coils. The salesman, Mark, was very responsive to my request for quote changes or additional items, including financing options. He was very knowledgeable and patient through the entire process as I worked with other companies for competing quotes. As a result of Mark’s recommendations and excellent pricing, I added on a new Aprilaire 1210 filter box (including replacing a portion of the return duct work/box) and an Aprilaire 600M whole house humidifier. I was able to schedule install four days after signing the contract. The installers, Charles and Christian, arrived on time and removed the old and installed the new in about 7 hours. They provided an overview of system operation and cleaned up so well, you couldn’t tell that a significant installation had occurred. I would recommend McCrea, especially Mark, Charles, and Christian to anyone...they were professional and did an excellent job. "Our AC died last week and the first company provided us 3 replacement options. We selected the middle option ($16,000) and signed the contract, which provided us a 5 day cancellation period. Installation was scheduled for Friday. I solicited other companies quotes using the estimate provided by the first company and all declined stating I needed to schedule an appointment for someone to come out to take measurements, etc. Our inside temperature was 98 degrees. Advanced Environment Solutions provided us an unbinding estimate of $9,600. a better warranty and immediately dispatched a technician to take measurements and install a portable AC unit until the new one could be installed. Our unit was installed Friday. What a bunch of professionals! The team arrived at 6:30 am and were done by 11:00 am. "Furnace was not operating because the company's automatic delivery system ran me out of oil. <br /> Technician showed up promptly and got the furnace operating but could not get heat into the house. Had to reschedule to have zone valves replaced. Technician show up late and didn't have the required parts. Had to reschedule again. <br /> The third technician showed up on time with all the correct parts and worked most of the day to get the system operating properly. <br /> He was completely knowledgeable and very conciencious that everything was working correctly. <br /> <br />"

"Everything went well!  They did accidentally bring the wrong equipment at first because of a paperwork mixup at the home office, but they corrected it quickly and even upgraded my outdoor heat pump unit as compensation for the mistake.  That did cause them to have to drive to the Lennox distribution center and back, setting the install completion back a couple of hours.  I guess for that I have to knock them on "quality". <br /> But other than that, everything went smoothly.  They were professional and courteous.  They also called back the next day to check on everything and make sure that everything was satisfactory and to apologize for the mixup. <br /> Thanks, Modern Mech! <br />"
