"The alarm on the ejector pump started going off one evening indicating a malfunction. I called Lifeline the next morning and was able to get an appointment that afternoon. Mike D. came to the house and quickly diagnosed the problem as a faulty switch. Sounds like a simple fix, but the pit is sealed and the lid bolted to the floor, and to make it more interesting part of the lid rests under the wall trim board. To remove the lid would have required dismantling the PVC pipes to free the lid from under the trim board. Mike suggested instead to cut a hole in the lid so he could service the pump that day, then place a cap over the whole and seal with silicone; this would allow easy access to the pump should it need service again. What could have taken several hours Mike completed in about an hour. I have been using this company for about 4 years and have always received great service. Thanks Lifeline and thanks Mike D.!"

"My experience with Jose L who did the work was great. He was prompt, professional, friendly and helpful. He was patient with my questions and showed clear dedication to delivering a quality experience. I would rate him straight As across the different categories. Scheduling the service was a different story. I'd grade that a C at best, maybe D. After multiple emails and phone calls that were not returned we finally got someone on the phone and scheduled the service, but they still couldn't provide us full information on the estimated cost of a simple repair. On top of that, it was a 6 week wait for someone to come out. We've been happy with Shavitz in the past but this was a bad experience. We're on their maintenance plan so we hope that will mean better service in the future."

"Willy was extremely thorough in troubleshooting potential causes for the lack of heat coming from my heater. He progressively eliminated the thermostat and multiple other components before concluding the heater was having air flow issues and had been repeatedly overheating. He educated me along the way about how to decipher heater status codes, what the heater behavior told him as he was trying different things, what he believed the problem was, and what options I had. He also educated me about filters and suggested I use a more porous filter, despite my allergies. Ultimately, my best option was to replace the heater and air conditioner, given the repeated stress the heater had been under for multiple years, its current performance, the interconnectedness of the heater and air conditioner, and the fact I planned to stay in the condo for years more. Because Willy did such a nice job educating me and helping me understand the implications of each option, I feel good about the decision to replace the units."
