Quote for scope of the project was clearly stated and I was sent the invoice with various forms of payment accepted, including online payment which was very convenient. Their team did the work exactly as promised and on time. Prices were very reasonable and they were one of the only companies I spoke to whom also were willing to do window repairs as well, most others ONLY did full window replacement. Their office administrator Jen was on top of everything and was a pleasure to deal with. Very happy with their work and will not hesitate to use them again in the future."

"We highly recommend JA Drywall. They are the best contractors we have used in the South Jersey area! We used them for a large job to frame, drywall, spackle and trim the attic plus fit doors for storage spaces. They were response to our request for a quote, provided a clear break-down so we had full transparency of the costs and could select the amount of work we wanted to do at this time. Juan and Isaias were very friendly but professional. Isaias was onsite through the framing, drywall, trim work and door installation. Juan checked in with us regularly and visited to check the progress and quality of the work. They communicated really well - from arranging arrival times in the morning, and during the work to inform us about the progress of the project and to ask if any adjustments were required. They are extremely customer focussed and wanted to ensure we were happy at every stage of the work. They took a lot of care and went above and beyond to protect the wood floors and walls from damage when they had to bring the drywall through the house to the attic. During the job they were very tidy and cleaned up before they left every evening. "The work was completed to complete satisfaction and even went beyond expectations in terms of service and deliverables. I had Mel replace an existing door in a non standard size doorway. I have other projects and thought this would be a good way to get to know Mel and the work I could expect. What I can say from what I learned is that Mel is very much a seasoned craftsman as demonstrated by his solid work and attention to detail. He is also timely, responsive, and trust worthy which are all things I look for in a contractor. I plan to use Mel for my next project and would highly recommend him to someone who is looking for these characteristics in a contractor. My only hesitation in writing this review is that he may become too busy and then I might have to wait for him, but in all honesty I would be happy to wait."

"Initial person was too chatty, too much information, overwhelming. Later more succinct. Workers who did test & insulation (blower door test to reveal air leaks). Workmen were sufficient and polite. Two years later discovered they had caulked Marvin windows which should NOT be caulked in order to wash them w/ moveable parts. It cost me $175 to have them repaired or caulking removed. This was done & I submitted a bill 11/13/14 and have not been reimbursed yet. Have called 2x's to remind, last time man said he thought it was done and he would see about it. That was 3 weeks ago the last time and 7 weeks from the first reminder. It is now 2/24/15."

"It went completely great. He addressed the situation and did the repair. Left to make a soffit replacement and returned to repair. Very much appreciated the quick responsiveness. Did not want these pieces falling off to do any damage and he responded immediately.

"When American Jewel installed the door I gave them A grades as I thought they did an excellent job.  But after using the door for a few weeks I noticed the dead bolt didn't close completely, but only about 2/3, and also noticed the screen door was no longer aligned properly, so although it closed and looked right, the door was slightly off and it would no longer lock.  I called American Jewel and they scheduled the installer to return and make the minor corrections.  The installer did not show up.  When I called American Jewel again, they did not return my calls. I complained to Angie's List, and via their complaint resolution process American Jewel contacted me.  They were very apologetic and attributed it to a mix up, accepted responsibility and sent the installer to my home to make the minor corrections.  I would use American Jewel again, despite this hiccup, as my wife and I like the door they installed, feel we received excellent value, and ultimately American Jewel followed through on the minor problems I described and corrected them all."

"Great. I was very pleased with Jeremy (the sales guy who I think owns the company) as well as Larry (the installer). They are both very knowledgeable and helpful. Jeremy was able to customize my contract to my needs and deliver a reasonable cost estimate. Larry installed the equipment very quickly and was super responsive and helpful after the installation was complete. This is where they really went above and beyond, because they could have just moved to their next job, but the follow-up was terrific."
