"I met Robert for an estimate. Robert is a straight shooter, gave a competitive estimate, and no pressure at all. I decided to go with him after another estimate I got was borderline gouging. I was impressed with how efficiently and quickly his crew worked. These guys know what they are doing. Many companies can insulate an attic but Attic Air can also replace attic and bathroom fans. Make sure your soffit though has holes in it to let air into the attic. This was an optional piece for me but the crew chief explained to me the new attic fan that was being installed would burn out if there was not enough air coming in from the soffit for the fans to circulate. I also took advantage to replace two other very old bathroom fans with more powerful Panasonic 100 cfm LED fans to take advantage of the crew being in the attic. My second floor used to be 3 degrees cooler than what the thermostat showed on the first floor, but is now 1 degree or no difference. I am hoping I won't need a separate cooler fan in the summer on the second floor. Didn't need a separate heater for winter at least or shiver unless I brought up the temperature on first floor."

"Jim is very knowledgeable, professional, and reasonably priced. He came out a couple of times prior to the work and explained everything very thoroughly, and helped us understand why we had the cold spots we did. We were very impressed with his knowledge, and other companies we called either could not see us in a reasonable time frame or wouldn't service our area. He just did the work today, and we don't have drywall back up yet but we can already tell the difference. They were very punctual, and made sure the area was properly set up before doing the insulation, and then cleaned up when they were done. The spray foam works wonders, and I highly recommend it if you also have areas in your home that could use better insulation. "We did not end up using the energy experts, my house was built in the 70s using electric baseboard heat and low voltage wiring, when we rewired and installed a new furnace/ac/ductwork we were left with numerous small holes to be patched. In order to make the house more energy efficient they recommended we insulate around the outlets before patching, they also quoted to remove ceiling vents and finish (albeit rough finish) the whole quote came in at around $4000. A lot higher then we anticipated so we did not proceed with the job. I basically paid $99 for a quote. They could not provide me with the attic insulation as some of the duct work in the attic had detached from the vent and thus they would be blowing insulation straight into the main house. <br />"

"They foam insulated the area in the basement above the foundation and below the first floor. They removed the old fiberglass insulation and removed it from the premises. They did a superior job, were on time for the job, and completed it in very good time, and left the area very clean. I was very pleased with the result and found them to be very professional with an excellent work ethic."

"Estimator Steve Schmidt came to my home the same day I called, and I received their proposal the following day. I have a 50- year-old townhouse in which the insulation in the attic had settled to only a few inches deep. While the building code for new construction requires 19" of insulation, he informed me that older structures are "grandfathered" and do not have the same requirements. Nevertheless, he recommended at least 12".  Since I am preparing the townhouse for sale, I agreed that this would be a reasonable amount and an economical solution.  He was prepared to send an installer out within 48 hours, but due to my schedule, we set up an installation date a week later.  The installer arrived exactly on time at 8:00 a.m. He was very courteous and professional and finished the job within a couple of hours.  I expected there to be a lot of dust from blowing in the insulation, but dust was minimal. He put thick batts of insulation over the trapdoor opening, so it also is insulated. He lay down plastic sheeting over his path in and out of the house (it was pouring rain), and cleaned up after himself.   I felt the price was acceptable and am pleased with the job. "
