"Full Disclosure - Get Mo Cool Broward offers a free year maintenance contract for posting an objective review. While I believe that this type of incentive can bias someone to a more favorable review, I will remain objective sharing both positives and concerns. Finally, I think it is showing a business savvy to encourage reviews. Kudos. Positives - (1) excellent response and ease of scheduling; (2) while the technician did not arrive nor call during the two hour schedule block, he did call 15 minutes later to say he was running late and I received another call when technician was in route; (3) tech explained how facets of a/c units work; (4) tech was personable and easy to talk to; (5) tech explained a concern with a part without high pressure to replace the part immediately; (6) he quickly address a concern I expressed by putting in a new screw to reduce rattling in the unit; (7) the tune-up price as excellent Concerns - (1) tech wasn't going to wash electronic air cleaner because "it doesn't need to be cleaned" which is shockingly incorrect and I stated that it wasn't true - I was surprised that a tech with such experience would state that; thus if I hadn't pressed it would not have been done; (2) after cleaning electronic air cleaner and moving on to another part of the tune-up, I noted that he only cleaning one of the two electronic filters and advised him of that. He quickly addressed it but still...; (3) I have a bias against a technician not using a checklist to ensure all 21 points are done; for example, I did not see him lubricate bearings which is part of the checklist (maybe I missed that); (4) tech explained why he doesn't put the gauge on the system if the system appears to be working well based on temperature and pressure readings because "it causes freon to escape and the openings are where leaks easily form". I do not know enough as to whether this is true. I do know that every tech I have ever had did tune-ups that included putting gauges on the system. (5) I pointed out that a previous tech had mentioned a problem with the blades and this tech said after a brief look that there is nothing wrong (now I don't know who to believe); (6) I have had other tune-ups done by other companies and this tune-up felt like it was the least thorough. I personally liked the tech. I pointed out 7 positives and 6 concerns (of which they might all not be valid). I am, therefore, objectively giving a B grade. In the end, let's face it, the tune-up was $29 instead of $59 or $79 or even $129 so price has to be part of the evaluation!"

"It ended up we needed a new thermostat. The tech could have very easily convinced us that the blower motor had failed and required more major service as he first suspected. This was the 2nd service call on this unit in 3 months with same symptoms. I'm certain the thermostat was the problem during that first service as well since the tenant stated the main cover of the thermostat had fallen off the day before and the service tech "tweaked" the connectors on the thermostat AFTER doing his $350 service job on the main unit. We appreciate the honesty and quality done by Speedy AC Service and will definitely give them a call when work is required on any of our other rental units."

Recently when we were having problems with our computers, we tried contacting our service contractor multiple times. He never responded. Feeling frustrated, I contacted James at North Alabama Technical Services and explained our situation. He instantly came to our rescue. "After another A/C co (Cool Air U.S.A.; Grade: "F") failed to fix my A/C, after 7 visits and over $1,000 spent, I found myself at 10:00pm, July 3rd, with an 82o house.  It had been that temp for three days and several attempts by the above named company, who I found out would not be out till the next day.  ENOUGH!  Here's where Adam's Air came in.  Here's the timeline
10:18   Left message for the need for a service call asap. 
10:30   Adam called me back.  I explained the situation in detail. He was patient and seemed very understanding of it.  
            He asked how soon I wanted a tech there and I said ASAP. 
10:46   Marty, the tech called, and asked I text him my address 
11:05   Marty arrives, in a uniform, no less. He listens patiently as I explain the situation with the other company,
            show him their repair receipts, and he reads all their notes.
11:10   Marty pulled the T-stat off the wall, inspected it and it's connections carefully and declared the problem Found!  
            The T-stat was missing a key wire from the air handler. He looked at the pile of receipts and asked "How many
            people from that company worked on this?"  (the Answer is NINE in all, never the same guy twice!) 
 11:20  Marty started work on running the wire and when finished, checked the outside unit as well. 
12:35  Done, the receipt clearly stated what work was done, Marty took the time to answer all of my questions
           and professional, despite the late hour.  
           And the air works fine!

He could not finish the heater because there was a bad part. My only issue was how much they wanted to charge the part. It was a $22 part and they wanted to charge $199. It was a very high mark up. It was just a capacitor.  It did not require any sauntering, tools or pieces to remove, it would take 3 minutes to do by hand.  The tech was very professional. He felt bad about how much it cost and he was very professional and tried to do everything he could and perform the service which he did. The service that he did do was good for sure.
