"Paul, the owner, was terrific. I needed to replace a rotting wooden rear entry door with a new ThermaTru fiberglass door. I also wanted to add a storm door to the same entry. Paul came over and inspected the site and we ordered both doors in late December of 2021. The doors arrived several months later and Paul came out for the installation. He was great. He was clearly a meticulous and experienced professional who knew his stuff perfectly. After several hours he had completed the installation of both doors. They look and work great. Paul also cleaned up the interior and exterior areas where he worked and everything was immaculate after he left. Can't of better than Washington Door Service,"

"Emerald City did a A+ job earlier in the year when installing two wide bedroom windows and a new kitchen door in my home, so when it came time for the storm door (with a built-in doggie-door), I knew just whom to call. Communication and scheduling (Lixia) are professional and service (both on-site and when visiting the showroom) is great. I was able to choose my storm door from viewing it online and with a brief chat from the fellow (Mike?) without a showroom visit. I've worked with Tipton twice for my installations. He is dog friendly, which I appreciate, and an all-around peach. Emerald City gets my highest recommendation."

"We bought the deal for patio sliding door replacement  and couldn't be happier. Everything went smoothly from start to end, no surprises.  Bill showed up on time, installed the new door with great attention to detail, addressed all my concerned and left the spot in ideal condition. It's been almost 6 moths since we have the new door and we love it.  Planning to hire them again for entry door replacement.  Would definitely recommend Ethos to anyone looking for a door installation/replacement.

"Dan did a great job installing the LiftMaster 8550 Replaced my 18 year old LiftMaster died. He also said they need to replace the garage door rollers, lube & tune service. My garage door has been very noisy for 18 years, now it is so quite. Great Job Dan...thank you. Total Cost I thought was really high."

"Our experience with PS Window and Door was outstanding.  Leslie was great to work with.  She showed us multiple options and provided good suggestions, especially for our front door which was not a standard installation.  We also visited their showroom and got other good suggestions from the owner.  Their installation team was always on time and completed all the installations efficiently and professionally.  All the doors look great, fit great, and are a huge upgrade from what we have.  I would definitely use them again.  The "B" on price is only because we did not actually "shop" the job after meeting with Leslie and visiting their showroom.  We may have been able to get a better price, but we place a very high value on how a company interacts with us and our "gut feel" about how they will be when we let them into our home. We had a very good feeling about this company, and we were not disappointed. "

"After contacting NW Natural Lighting, Dawn came to our house (on a weekend, which was nice) to do a consultation, explaining how solartubes work, helping us understand where and how they could have the most impact, and providing recommendations for where to install them and how many to install. Ours is a bit of an unusual case because we were installing the solartubes in bedrooms, but they explained that we could put dimmers in to close them at night. The installation had to be booked a month or two out because they're booked pretty far out, but the installers showed up on time and did a great job on the installation. I think our building is a little tricky to work with because the roof is pretty steep and the ceiling is lathe and plaster, but they got the solartubes in with only one extra hole in the ceiling (we pretty much end up with an extra hole in the wall or ceiling anytime anyone does work on our place). The additional light is great, and the fixtures blend in pretty well with the ceilings."

"After contacting Scott, he came out and quoted the job at $3,700 and we agreed upon those terms at the beginning of the month.  He started work after the holiday weekend, placing the posts in the first week.  The initial discussion was to have 6' fencing around the backyard and halfway up the house.  This was to be followed by half-height fencing the rest of the way on both sides to the property line.  After noticing only one side on the front half had half-height posts, it was discovered that he initially thought only one side was getting the fence line in the front.  This caused a $300 increase in materials and labor cost to the project although there was some material left over from the beginning (concrete, some boards).  After coming to an agreement on the new cost, work continued and was completed the following week with the exception of the latch hardware needing to be attached the following Monday.  Scott came back and created an elegant solution to the latching system and even repositioned the hinges to change the door swing since we have some odd slopes to our property where the gates are now.

I am very happy with the end result as it feels very sturdy and looks aesthetically beautiful.  My only reservation during the process was confirming the exact work being done in an itemized quote so there was no confusion.  Looking back over the quote, the quote half-height fence length would only support one side with the 25' distance, which I didn't notice.  My recommendation would be get exact details, not just basic lengths, before moving forward (possibly even a basic drawing of the job being performed?).  Also, our initial quote stated the job being performed for $3,700 but it was discovered that wasn't counting tax.  Being a stand up guy, Scott stood by the original total for the whole job (not counting extra half-height fence) when we discussed our budget concerns.

Pros
  • Very sturdy fence
  • Craftsmanship looks solid and aesthetically beautiful
  • Worked well with our budget
  • Responded well with changes requested (other fence line, new latch system)
Cons
  • Communication of overall job was light
  • Time table to complete was a little long - couple weeks for a 50 x 75 lot (only one person doing work)
  • Timeliness - were informed work was starting at 8am but would arrive between 9am and 10am, sometimes not until afternoon
Overall, I am very satisfied with the work and Scott was extremely professional to work with and very flexible with changes."
