"Your Community Heating and Cooling handled our repair. Rakim, the company owner came out the same day, spent some time to thoroughly examine our heat pump. The compressor was not working. He attempted to perform maintenance on the compressor to "buy us some extra time" with the unit but was unable to make it work. Rakim offered two solutions, and recommended what he thought was the best plan of action. We agreed and chose to replace the heat pump. The diagnosis visit was timely and inexpensive ($80) for the level of professionalism we received. Rakim came out the next day, and replaced our unit (a York) with a higher quality Rheem. The work took approximately 2 hours (maybe less) and within a few hours, the temperature in our house decreased from 87 degrees to 75, and when we woke the next morning the house temp was 70 degrees. By the way, both visits occurred between 7 and 9 PM. Rakim recognized our need, and gave selflessly of his time and experience providing us with excellent service. I would recommend that you choose Your Community Heating and Cooling for your needs as well. Both visits were $2330.00. Extremely pleased with all facets."

"We had two heat pump systems. We replaced the one that was defective with Taylor Construction. Prior to that units replacement the working unit was cooling the upstairs just fine. After the install of the defective unit, the working unit stopped working. After 2-3 days of work and research from an electrician and my husband, we found the wire from the thermostat to the unit cut completely, therefore failing to be able to turn the unit on. No one had touched the unit after Taylor Construction came and, before they came it was working. The cut was clean like it was cut by a wire cutter. I called Taylor to complain about our problem, they did not answer, I left a message, and did not hear from them (mind you I did not ask for a response but I think that would have been common courtesy if your company may have made a mistake and cost their customer hours of time and money). The replaced unit works great and I really appreciated our HVAC techs... Super friendly, would answer any and every question, and installed it faster and better than I expected. I would give this company 5 stars if they had done the work without potentially severing the line to our other working unit. Or had at least reached out to apologize."

"I highly recommend Midlothian Mechanical. My parents bought a Ryan Home in a 55+ community a year and a half ago. The home was actually built for them. Entering the first summer (4-6 months after moving in) the AC did not work. My parents called the company that installed the unit to come out and were charged an outrageous amount, when it should have been free under warranty. Never buy anything that Ryan Homes makes!!!!! Entering this summer the unit did not work again. I told my parents to use Midlothian Mechanical. I have used them for 17 years and they helped me out of a similar bind when I bought my house. They were beyond fair to me for the work they had to do at my home. My unit has worked perfectly ever since. When I called for my parents they fit them in right away. They worked 6-8 hours on repairing what the builder put in. In fact the owner of Midlothian Mechanical came out himself to help the technician track down the issues. The unit now works great, but more importantly he/they were beyond fair to my parents. He could have charged them dearly for their time and effort and been well within their right as it was a big task to backtrack and find all the other company's mistakes. I won't give the price but I will tell you I was trying to get them to take more. I definitely believe my parents were under charged for the excellent service and expertise they received. If you have an issue with your HVAC do yourself a favor and call Midlothian Mechanical. Chris Pizzini"
