"Responded quickly to come out and diagnose our furnace that had just died. After speaking with the dispatcher a technician arrived at our house within 30 minutes. Being that it was going to be about 17 degrees that night the technician left us with two space heaters to hold us over until we could get the furnace replaced. Two days later a crew came out to install the new furnace. These guys were excellent, one of the best crews that I have ever worked with leaving me with a great deal of confidence that the job was done right. From the initial call, the receptionist, the dispatcher, the technician, and the installation crew left me extremely pleased that I made the call to Aquarius and plan to use them in the future."

"Randy Lane has skilled plumbers and a well-organized office staff. The plumber arrived at the pre-arranged day & time and fixed the two sinks. The plumber looked at the corroded sections of pipe that I pointed out and stated that his opinion was that replacing those would not significantly increase water pressure in the house. I appreciate the honest opinion.

"I used Conditioned Air a few years ago to replace a furnace at a different location. I had a great experience back then and remembered them.

I called Conditioned Air this morning because my furnace (different location than where they replaced a furnace) was not triggering consistently at the thermostat set point. I was able to get a diagnostic service call the same day. Kathleen answered the call right away, did a fantastic job coordinating with her company, and was quick and responsive when I messaged her with follow up communications later. Taylor was my technician and he arrived a few minutes earlier than our scheduled time. He was pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable. The source of the problem was a dirty flame sensor, so he took some time to clean it for me. He said he would only charge me for the trip since it only took a few minutes to clean it. Taylor explained what he did, recommended preventative maintenance on the furnace, and described what a furnace tune up would entail. Before he left, he brought us Girl Scout Cookies, and my favorite flavor too! I haven't had such a thoughtful service provider before!

Conditioned Air has consistently provided me with a positive experience - great communication, prompt service, quality work, and fair pricing. It is obvious that they want to be there for you for the long haul!

"I’d like to give a shout out to Dave from TC PipeWorks who came out and replaced the wax ring in my upstairs toilet. Quick and very efficient. Scheduling service was quick and easy. Dave showed up on time, diagnosed the problem in a matter of minutes, and fixed the problem in under an hour. I will certainly call Dave and Twin Cities Pipeworks again next time I have any plumbing needs."

"I was highly pleased with Jim's work. He not only accomplished everything on my list, but he made several suggestions on several
issues that added further performance improvements.
Jim's response time from my original call was excellent. He is very easy to work with, communicates well and is very customer-oriented.

The amount he charged me for the work done and considering the time spent traveling to my house, doing the work and answering my questions and giving me advice was very reasonable.
I highly recommend Jim for computer installation, network issues,  problem resolution and performance improvement. I will definitely call him in the future for any new issues I have.

"Even though I have read some negative comments about their plumbing's prices, I wanted to give them a chance as I had a fairly good experience on the HVAC side. Unfortunately, I am afraid the comments were right! I called them for a leak in my basement related to a water drain from the second floor bathrooms. Before starting, Matt explain to me he had to go through a "pluming diagnostics" of the entire house and systems that is a flat fee of $497 (based on the age of the house) for: Unlimited Time to find the problem, One level 1 to 2 repair included with diagnostic, performance check, whole home water quality analysis, including chlorine, water hardness, and total dissolved solids, confirmation that system is safe, reliable, and energy efficient, Applies to equipment 6-20+ years old, main drain, water pressure/water temperature over 1500 sqft, tankless water heater. Basically a fee to "find the leak" and anything else that could be wrong in my house in order to give me suggestions for additional repairs that go on top of the "diagnostic fee", unless it is a level 1 or 2 repair that you probably never have anyway...! I my case Matt's listed 3 options: - $4.193 (repair copper drain, new washing machine hoses, install pressure valve and new 50 Gal water heater) - $1.467 (repair copper drain, new washing machine hoses, install pressure valve). Meaning $2.726 for the water heater alone. Or $631 (repair copper drain, new washing machine hoses). Meaning $836 for the pressure valve alone! I told him I could do the machine hoses myself and asked him how much it would be just to fix the leak => $364. That means the charge to change 2 $10 hoses is $267!! By the way, they don't deduct the $79 service call if you are not part of the Membership Program, charge an additional $14 for "Transfer Fuel Surcharge" and didn't discount the $50 coupon. Bottom line my invoice was $497 + $79 + $14 + $364 = $954. Fortunately, I talked to Kristy from Customer Service the following day and got the $50 coupon applied and got an additional $50 off after my open and direct discussion with her. Thank you Kristy. Still, I believe the all process was a bit complicated for a leak and would have to try a different plumber next time. Further more, what's going on with the "Plumbing Diagnostic" fee if they have to come again later on during the year for another issue? I surely wouldn't need another "check" of my entire house..."

FAQs for swamp cooler installation and replacement projects in Newport, MN

Swamp coolers are quite energy-efficient, using only 15% to 35% of the electricity that traditional central air conditioning units consume. This can lead to significant savings on your energy bills. However, keep in mind that swamp coolers require water to operate and may not cool your home as effectively in extremely hot or humid conditions. When considering overall efficiency, it is essential to weigh both electricity and water usage, as well as the cooling needs specific to your local climate.

Evaporative coolers only work in dry climates because they cool by moistening the air. If the air is already moist, this will have little to no cooling effect. Central AC is a better choice if you live in a humid climate, such as the Midwest, eastern, or western coastal regions.

To install a swamp cooler on a roof, a local HVAC specialist will first find and cut a spot free of wiring and obstructions. They’ll then install metal bracing, legs, brackets, the ceiling duct register, ductwork, power, and thermostat wires. Once installed, they’ll seal all openings, attach duct connections, and install a thermostat. Before leaving, they’ll run cool water piping to the unit and inspect all the connections.

The cost to repair your swamp cooler ranges from $50 to $600, depending on the issue, whether new parts are needed, and the chosen repair service. Depending on the type of pad your system uses, you will need to change out the pads every one to three years for proper operation. When budgeting for the cost to repair a window unit, expect to pay around $230.

The U.S. Department of Energy states that swamp coolers can cool a single room by five to 15 degrees Fahrenheit. However, this largely depends on the size and installation method of the evaporative cooler. You can only achieve these results in a dry climate, such as the American South, as it’s easier to cool rooms in humid environments with central air.

Swamp cooler water usage varies depending on the size of the unit. Smaller evaporative units may use one gallon per hour, while much larger units could use up to 15 gallons of water per hour. Most homeowners can expect their unit to use between seven and 10 gallons of water per hour of usage.
