"My girlfriend called me to tell me she had just got home and there was water on the floor.  I went straight home and found the water heater leaking.  I called Bamford Plumbing and spoke to a lady who asked several questions concerning the the tank number and approximate age (in case it was still under warrenty) and she took my phone number and said she would call me right back with an estimate.  Roughly 4 minutes later she called me back to give me an estimate and unfortunately to tell me that they couldn't be out until the next afternoon.  She recommende several other plumbers in my area and said she would hold the apointment just in case I couldn't get someone out sooner.  Well I called Heidler and was told someone would call me back.  45 minutes later a technician called and said he would be out and it would cost $185.  I asked what the charge was for and he said to look at what was leaking!  I explained it was the water heater leaking and I had turned the water off to the heater at this point and he said he could come out and cut the line to the water heater for $185 and there was nothing else he could do since it was after 4pm.  Again I said I had turned the water off and to have a good night.  I called Bamford back and told the lady I wanted to keep the appointment and told her what Heidler had said and she was shocked and appologized for what had happened and suggesting them as someone to call.
I received a call from Bamford in the morning to give me an approximate arrival time.  They arrived in the early afternoon as promised and replaced my water heater and necessary fitting.  They also had to install a inline preassure tank as required by Anne Arundel county, since there wasn't one at no additional charge.

"Joe was the first to call shortly after I submitted my request for service. He had the tech out that morning who confirmed what I thought was the issue - the AC needed replacement. Since both the furnace & AC were original, I asked for an estimate to replace both. Joe's estimate was very fair given I had an estimate earlier in the year for just the AC. Because I am in a condo, choices were limited on both the AC unit and the furnance (because of size and space limitations). But Joe found a good combination of products and the install team came out on a SUNDAY! The job was not an easy one and I appreciated the team's tenacity in completing the installation. So far, everything is working well. One thing to be aware of: while the company offers an interest free payment plan, that plan is based on a higher cost (essentially I took it to mean the interest was built into the payoff period) so I chose to go with the original estimate."

He provided us with estimates for a number of options - similar to those from other HVAC companies that quoted for this work. Alex made the one and a half hour drive to visit with us again, to walk us through the contract details, and to explain install process. This was a really nice touch as usually contracts are signed electronically these days. The Blue Dot install team came on time on the scheduled day and did a neat and professional job with the install - performing all the necessary checks and tests, and left the work area clean and tidy - and with the HVAC systems working well. "Gentlemen arrived when scheduled and did what looks like a decent job pressure washing. Charged me an extra $90 for the stairs. Paid with credit card when I thought they were finished. After payment gentleman informed me someone would be back next week to apply clear sealer. Nowhere in any of the ads or emails I received before service does it say anything about there being a week between services. It should of let me know this beforehand."
