"It was a scam. The price was too good to be true. My AC was not working and all I needed was someone to take a look and see what needs to be fixed. The cost quoted was $59. I even scheduled the appt. But once I called them for something, they said the appt process through Angie's list does not work and the $59 is only for changing the filter or something silly like that and I had to upgrade to the $89. But for the $89, the guy did spend time with me explaining what is wrong and if its worth fixing or not. So, why advertise as $59 with bunch of details that you won't even perform?"

"My wife and I bought a house a couple years ago, and became owners of a radiant heating systems installed more than 20 years ago. Tony and Damian did a great job of understanding how my radiant heating system works, what repairs were needed/what was failing, and where upgrades were needed. They replaced the pump, both expansion tanks, and the neutralizer. Additionally, they noticed the hot water tank was installed incorrectly, and the hot and cold water connections were flipped. It's amazing the system worked, and it's nice to have a system that's correctly installed (even if it's 20 years later!). Additionally, they secured the expansion tanks to the wall (now required by code), replaced the deteriorating copper pipes connected to the neutralizer with plastic (I'm sure this is code now as well), and re-routed the overflow pipes to the outside (rather than the floor!). You can't go wrong with these guys, well done, they're true craftsmen to the trade."

"I called around and was referred to Better Water Heaters, as the original company I called was short-handed and overscheduled due to the weather. It was explained that Better Water Heaters was their "sister" company and they had a good relationship. I called them and left a message. They responded very quickly that they could come on Saturday morning. The service man, Mike, called 30 minutes before the time window started and was able to be there a little early. Mike was very friendly and I explained the problem. He said I was probably correct that the sediment had clogged everything and caused the thermostat et. al. to fail. He advised that he could try to get the parts and fix the problem, but may be just better to replace the water heater. I had already planned to go with replacing the water heater, so I was prepared. The price was about the average for this area for a water heater and installation. Mike replaced the water heater and flex lines as well as a new gas line that met the new standards/regulations, and added a drain pan. Mike is very knowledgeable and answered every question I had. He is also friendly and professional. The installation was completed in about an hour. He should me the basic operation and instructions before cleaning up. Now I have a new Bradford White, and so far everything has been great, lots of hot water and no more noises. So, we were without hot water for only 1 day. I would recommend them if you have a problem."
