The installation was not without problems. First, they broke an A/C drain pipe, second, they cut a sprinkler controller wire while running a PVC pipe. Here's my take, accidents happen but how does the business respond to these issues? Well, Donna was very quick to send her team out to correct the problems and they even paid for the damage to the sprinkler system. To me, that's top notch customer service. Any business can make a mistake, but how they handle it is the mark of a good company. Every time I lift the roll door and go into the basement now, I'm amazed at how cool and fresh the air is down there. No more mildew and no more smell."

The guys were professional, and Phil followed up with me at my home after the install to do a final inspection of the work. "the service went very well. I was disappointed that he didn't move the dryer out and cleaned where the vent entered the dryer. I guess not too many vendors do that anymore. The cleaning from the outside did make the clothes dry faster.

There was a little blip in the install but they stayed until it was resolved and came back the next day to make sure everything was working. Unit works well and does a good job cooling the house. "Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."

The owner met with us to come up with a plan...we had no idea exactly how to improve our air flow upstairs....it was hot and stuffy. After inspecting, he showed us where several of the duct pieces had been flattened and either weren't connected or were not the right size. Amazingly, once they came and did the work it was immediately cooler. We were so relieved as we were not planning on replacing the whole system. Professional and very friendly service. Will definitely use them when we do replace the air units.
