"Here's the thing: the quality of the work and materials were top-notch and I paid a very fair price for it, so for that I am happy.  However, the were a number of administrative problems:
1) Hot water and cold water were accidentally backwards in the garage. I would think that they'd test this before saying that it's done, so they had to come back and switch it. Shoulda been obvious.
2) The water heater was left tilted at an angle so they had to come back again to fix that and needed to drain the whole tank.
3) I was often told that I would receive a phone call on a certain day and that often didn't happen, so I had to call them many times. 
4) The patchwork wasn't completed until 13 days after the repipe because of miscommunications in the company as to who was scheduling the inspections and arranging the patchwork.  A couple of times, my contact just forgot about me and admitted this, though apologizing.

"Talked to Kevin, the owner who answered the question if a water expansion tank needs to be pressurized prior to installation (Yes, at least to the incoming line pressure, 2 other plumbers said No, that tanks are already pre-pressurized)..He got the job. Sara did a nice quote on the price. They sent Ryan to do the install along with the team changing all the angle stops on my fixtures (I and them were able to twist the handles off the existing "home depot valves" in a home 12 yrs old. They also replace with a much heavier duty, Wolverine Brass quarter turn valve. These guys used booties in the home....nice. I was shown the hard water deposit and decided to add a Halo5 system. Ryan did a really clean install, that required pipes entering one side of the garage and the tank being placed on the other corner, for best placement and drain. He spent time aligning the pipes, added a door panel where the garage wall was cut for pipe splicing and even spray painted the copper pipes...to not look obvious....talk about going the extra distance."

"We have dealt with Best Service on 3 occasions.  Once to check for a leak in the water main to the house (no leak, no charge) and twice to have new toilets installed.  Luis came out to install the toilets and is very professional and informative.  He is fast and strong enough to lift our one piece toilets by himself. "Tom Wilhelm and his main helper, George, are both very professional and knowledgeable.  They arrive on time, do a great job for a fair price, and warranty their work.If we had an emergency, Tom was always willing to fit us in to take care of us; night or weekend, no problem.A tragedy has occurred in this family and business.  I understand that Tom's son will attempt to carry on with the business.  The times he worked for me he did a great job, although not as good as his father.  I wish him the best of luck.Odd that all these people are posting complaints about no one calling them back; obviously they're not reading what happened."

From the first visit to the last, the Service All Stars staff was punctual, polite, professional and very friendly.  Communication with Sal of Service All Stars was promptly responded to and questions answered.  Revisits to tidy up and explain functionality of new HVAC system also were on scheduled as promised.  Service All Stars personnel who came to our house were extremely helpful in explaining what actions they were about take on each visit. 

The Service All Stars staff quickly removed our old furnace and A/C unit, along with complete removal of all our old duct work that was splitting open, resulting in our heating and cooling our attic space, costing us in excessive natural gas and electric services.  Each visit was well planned and staffed accordingly.

We had visits from two other vendors who inspected our old system and provided quotes and timelines.  The quote from Service All Stars was approximately one-half what the other two vendors had given to us.  After talking with Sal of Service All Stars, I was convinced that their reviews would provide us with a quality contract while at the same time, saving us money.

I would happily recommend Service All Stars to anyone who is considering replacement of old, out dated HVAC system, particularly home in Rancho Palos Verdes that are going on 30 years old.

"Jeff and his crew were professional and experienced. I interviewed four companies. Patios by B & B were not the cheapest and not the most expensive. I felt most comfortable with Jeff's honesty, professionalism and experience. He was also very patient with our schedule due to the fact that we were having some major work done prior to him starting and that kept getting delayed. From our first meeting with him to signing the contract, he did everything to endear himself and his company to our needs. Jeff has great experience and also has many great ideas and design choices. Something you do not think about much is the quality of the product that is installed. Jeff made us feel like we were getting great value for the quality of the product used. The next concern that we had was the experience and workmanship of the actual laborers. We never had that concern with Jeff and his crew. It was the same people showing up everyday and you could tell with how well they worked together that they knew what they are doing. Take the time to ask as many questions as you want. I never felt rushed or judged by Jeff when asking anything."
