"Of the eight companies who bid, Greenwood did the best assessment of the somewhat quirky situation my old house presented. The estimator came just a few days before the big freeze in January, and they were able to schedule installation within two days. Once the installers were on site, there was some confusion re where various components would go, but a phone call to the company cleared that up within an hour. From then on the heat pump installation went smoothly and professionally, the electricians did a quick and effective job of hooking it up to the service, and the site was left clean. I did not understand at first how to operate the thermostat, given that the Mitsubishi owners manual was of limited help, and per my request a rep from the company came out a few days later to give me a tutorial about what the range of settings can do. From then on the system has operated flawlessly and lives up to its reputation."

"Bottom line - I am happy with our three-head ductless Mitsubishi heat pump installation. It now functions properly and looks good inside and out. Controllers work well. Units are super quiet. Price was mid-range so reasonable. But…it was not a smooth road to get to this outcome. Started off well with a quick response to do a site visit and prepare an estimate. The tech was knowledgeable and provided accurate information (I had consulted with a home energy consultant and did online research). It took some work on my part to get a correct final bid that included the proper rebates – I had to correct their first one because it was for two heads rather than three and then get the rebate deducted. Scheduling the installation was easy and prompt and was done in 1.5 days. The two person team had good judgement about where to put the external conduits and locate the heat pump. BUT – they installed the refrigerant lines incorrectly (crossed the connections to the pump) so the heads iced up and then leaked water. They came back a few days later to fix the problem and now the heads work fine. But they did not properly reinstall the sheathing around the lines, which City inspector noted. So they had to come out again to fix this. They have a great zero percent financing deal with Synchrony bank but could not answer questions about how it worked, the terms, etc. Took a fair bit of time to sort this out with the bank, but seems to be set up now. I asked three times to get copy of warranty and registration of equipment with Mitsubishi for my records but never did receive this."

"I purchased a new Navien NPE-240A2 Tankless Water Heater and had it installed. I'm loving the new water heater. It replaces an old Noritz tankless that died just before this installation. The on-site estimate was what sold me. Ken went through all the details and answered a lot of questions from me. Zachary came out with Austin and performed the installation just like I discussed with Ken. Zachary kept me in the loop throughout the installation to ensure I was in agreement with how it was going. Zachary always had my interest at heart and ensured no corners were cut. The installation is much cleaner, and more correct than the previous tankless company did. Zachary even listened to my concern about the astectics of the exterior exhaust and quickly found an easier and cleaner looking way to address my concern. He also removed an old recirculation pump and replaced a new main house shutoff valve. The entire area was treated respectfully and left cleaner than they found it."

"Our previous gas furnace was only 14 years old (it was a replacement itself, but a generic "contractor's model," not a common name brand and probably inefficient). The gas controller died, which would have cost $700 to replace -- and we'd still have an old, inefficient furnace. At best, the old 100,000 BTU furnace might have been 80% efficient, and probably worse. <br /> I called around and got a quote for a replacement from a large heating company in Woodinville, and a different brand -- but they insisted that we'd have to install a vehicle post for protection of the heater in the garage, in order to pass an inspection. They also did not explain how they would install the PVC exhaust pipe in our garage. The 95% efficient furnaces require a PVC exhaust pipe, which cannot attach to the existing metal exhaust that goes through the roof and that also handles exhaust from the water heater. Another large company in Bellevue wanted to do a 3-hour test of our entire house, to first determine what size heater to get. With that, and other reviews on Angie's List, I figured they would be more expensive, so I passed on that. After a quick look at our existing system, the other heating companies I talked with said that the same BTU output of a new efficient heater, combined with a variable or two-speed fan, would be the right size. <br /> So I called Bassett Home Heating. John, the owner, came out the next day (a Friday) and offered two recommendations -- one for an 80% furnace (which could attach to our existing metal exhaust pipe), and one for a 95%. He explained how the PVC pipe could be routed along the top of the garage, and said nothing about having to install a vehicle post. I also liked the idea of a small family-run company, where you know who you will be dealing with. <br /> The only potential downside was a scheduling delay, since we had no working heater. Because we have a wood stove that we have previously relied on for heat during storm outages, I decided to go with Bassett -- and am very glad I did. They are normally scheduled two or three weeks ahead at this time of year, but were able to rearrange their schedule and come out for the installation the following Thursday. We got the 95% efficient furnace. The PVC exhaust pipe looks and works fine, and they also installed a small pump and outlet tubing for the moisture that the furnace creates. <br /> They called a couple of days ahead, and showed up right at 7:30 a.m. on the agreed day. John, his son, and another helper all worked on the installation, and did a great job. Complete installation took them less than 2-½ hours, and they showed how the new thermostat works -- it's easier than the old one, even though there are more features. I am extremely pleased with our new heating system; it heats the house much more evenly than the old system, and we aren't losing 15% or more of the fuel as waste. <br />"

"Cory and Joe were fantastic. The installations went without a hitch. The overall cost was lower than three other quotes I had received for the job. At the beginning of the A/C install I noticed the water heater was leaking, and they were able to replace it the next day. I will definitely use them again."

"Mark and his guys helped us install a new AC last summer. They arrived on time and did a great job! So when I was looking for someone to do the maintenance of our furnace, I called them. Todd went above and beyond my expectations. He finished the job and even helped fix my hinge. Both Mark and Todd strike me as very genuine people. And I would definitely hire them again!"

"From the free bid, to the actual install, I couldn't have asked for a more professional team - including the girls in the office (who were always friendly and kind). This is an A+ operation and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a repair or installation."

"They were very responsive and did a good job on the install. I think the owner of the company is very responsive, and very customer oriented. I got, via referral, his name and reached out to him. He called me back within an hour. He came out and actually gave me an estimate that afternoon. It was kind of at the height of people starting to get these units installed before the Summer. He was able to schedule an appointment within a week and half to do the install, mainly because he had ordered the equipment. He just overall was great at response and great with follow up. I referred him on to some other people."
