"They inspected the exterior faucet, and told me they could either replace it for one price and fix it permanently, or replace a washer and fix it for a couple of years. They quoted me the price for the replacement, and I chose the washer only fix. They didn’t charge me for that, since they couldn’t guarantee it would stay fixed permanently. They did some troubleshooting about the flow volume problem, and determined that there is an obstruction in the line between our water meter and our house, probably thanks to a previous owner’s overconfidence in his own DIY skills. If you go to local computer stores you get very young people that can do a basic job, but are no where near the professional level of Jim.
