"Called Goff on Friday morning, 2/2. Tech arrived before noon and diagnosed the problem within 2 hours. Explained options for repair (almost $2k in parts & labor) and replacement. Long story short, we went with a new furnace (old furnace was 15 years old, and repairs would be complex). Given that it was Friday afternoon, they thought the earliest replacement could be made would be Tuesday. The office called me back and let me know they could get it done on Saturday, 2/3, for the same price. They were at the house by 8 am on 2/3 and were done by 1 pm. "I had a furnace and air conditioner installed. The furnace was in the attic and the air conditioner was placed outside toward the middle ofthe house. The sales person offered a solution that kept the price down. This thinking was refreshing as other sales people only quoted based on the present furnace and air conditioning setup. The installers were efficient and completed the project in a timely manner. I gave a 4 out 5 because the installers did not recommend a repair to an inside vent, and they left me with the wrong furnace filters. They did, however, come and exchange the filters for the correct ones."

"Jim is local.  It went great. Jim Ferrell is a professional of the highest caliber. Responded quickly, took care of my problems, and advised me as to better means of protection than I had. He came back a second time to uninstall software that I purchased that did not provide adequate protections and installed free software that would do the job.  He did the work through remote connection, but is available on site if necessary.
For those people needing help on getting red of malware, viruses , etc. on your computer,  Jim is local, better than all thse remote out of state location providers, is a mature, highly trained professional in this area.
If you go to local computer stores you get very young people that can do a basic job, but are no where near the professional level of Jim.
I highly recommend Jim to anyone that needs these type services.

"The good things:
1) they showed up on time
2) installed working equipment
3) came back in the spring to finish connecting the a/c
The bad things:
1) Not once did they respond after the 1st call; it always took 2, 3, or more messages to get a response
2) Put the air filter in a spot where it's inaccessible. Already-existing vent pipes block access to the air filter, so I have to buy two half-sized filters and squeeze them in.
3) The owner called my husband "schnookums". Totally perplexing ... and completely unprofessional.

"Abe was the service technican who responded. He checked potential problem points and found feon pressure below specification. Added feon to system. We also signed up for savers club. Furnace is on schedule to be cleaned in september.  Great effort and attitude."

"Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."
