"I met Robert for an estimate. Robert is a straight shooter, gave a competitive estimate, and no pressure at all. I decided to go with him after another estimate I got was borderline gouging. I was impressed with how efficiently and quickly his crew worked. These guys know what they are doing. Many companies can insulate an attic but Attic Air can also replace attic and bathroom fans. Make sure your soffit though has holes in it to let air into the attic. This was an optional piece for me but the crew chief explained to me the new attic fan that was being installed would burn out if there was not enough air coming in from the soffit for the fans to circulate. I also took advantage to replace two other very old bathroom fans with more powerful Panasonic 100 cfm LED fans to take advantage of the crew being in the attic. My second floor used to be 3 degrees cooler than what the thermostat showed on the first floor, but is now 1 degree or no difference. I am hoping I won't need a separate cooler fan in the summer on the second floor. Didn't need a separate heater for winter at least or shiver unless I brought up the temperature on first floor."

"George came out promptly and did a thorough inspection of the crawlspace and provided options on what can be done. The insulation work was performed by Jesus who also found and fixed two foundation cracks. Encapsulation was done by Juan's team and they all did a great job. They were able to perform all the work with a very narrow opening into the crawlspace and were also able to fit in the dehumidifier. After installation there was a minor issue with the dehumidifier and Craig came right away to fix it. Great experience and I'd definitely use their services in the future if need be."

It was a little more than I first thought it would be but the extra cost was incurred because my attic was larger than normal. "I had called several places. Before providing a quote, Jim asked to come out and see the site (at no cost) to discuss the project and provide an accurate quote. I had given square footage, but Air Defense was the only one that wanted to come out and see for themselves. He then gave me a very reasonable quote. <br /> I didn't really get back to him for a few months, as I had other stuff I had to deal with before I could get to the insulation. He was very patient, and when I finally did get back to him, he stuck by the original quote without hesitation, and was very friendly and accommodating to schedule the installation. <br /> When the day came, Jim and his crew were very careful with my house. Making sure to use plastic sheeting and tarps to cover anything that might get a mess on it, they went straight to work.  Everything went great! <br /> After the install, I had time to experience the difference. Wow! It was more expensive than fiberglass, to be sure, but the difference was felt immediately. As the hot summer went on, the foam insulation made a huge difference! <br />"

They handled all of the rebates from Nicor. <br /> On the day of installation the crew arrived on time and went about their tasks in a very business like manner. They were very careful to keep my house clean and made sure that the blown-in insulation was confined to my attics. After they were done with their work they cleaned up after themselves - a small amount of materials and insulation primarily outside. <br /> And now the best part! They told me that insulating my house could save me money on my energy bill. I had the work done in November and I just received my heating bill for the 30 day period of mid-December to mid-January with the actual meter reading.
