"Gus (owner) came out to provide an estimate. He was in the attic for about a half hour looking over the space so that a complete estimate could be provided. Several weeks later Gus came out and added blown in fiberglass insulation which made the area an R-60. While Gus insulated the attic, he took pictures on his cell phone and showed me the completed work."

"I met Robert for an estimate. Robert is a straight shooter, gave a competitive estimate, and no pressure at all. I decided to go with him after another estimate I got was borderline gouging. I was impressed with how efficiently and quickly his crew worked. These guys know what they are doing. Many companies can insulate an attic but Attic Air can also replace attic and bathroom fans. Make sure your soffit though has holes in it to let air into the attic. This was an optional piece for me but the crew chief explained to me the new attic fan that was being installed would burn out if there was not enough air coming in from the soffit for the fans to circulate. I also took advantage to replace two other very old bathroom fans with more powerful Panasonic 100 cfm LED fans to take advantage of the crew being in the attic. My second floor used to be 3 degrees cooler than what the thermostat showed on the first floor, but is now 1 degree or no difference. I am hoping I won't need a separate cooler fan in the summer on the second floor. Didn't need a separate heater for winter at least or shiver unless I brought up the temperature on first floor."

"A very professional company. Everyone was very courteous and helpful, explaining the full insulation install process. All work was performed on time, as promised. The crew took care to cover rooms/furniture and performed a full clean up once they were finished."

"George came out promptly and did a thorough inspection of the crawlspace and provided options on what can be done. The insulation work was performed by Jesus who also found and fixed two foundation cracks. Encapsulation was done by Juan's team and they all did a great job. They were able to perform all the work with a very narrow opening into the crawlspace and were also able to fit in the dehumidifier. After installation there was a minor issue with the dehumidifier and Craig came right away to fix it. Great experience and I'd definitely use their services in the future if need be."

"Our home is a colonial about 50 years old, and the sad aluminum siding on the second floor was showing its age. I contacted four siding firms for quotes. All but one on Angie’s List, and all were rated highly. We settled on Professional Home Improvement not because of price, but because of the detail and depth of knowledge with which Mal Graifman presented in his proposal. The job involved siding, soffit and fascia, new gutters with leaf guards and oversize downspouts. In his walk-around, Mal noted that we had insufficient venting in the eves, and too few downspouts for the length of gutter runs. He even noted that the service door to the garage (which we never use) detracted from the appearance of our home. In conversation with Mal, it was easy to see that his construction expertise and grasp of the aesthetic was based on years of experience and solid common sense. Not only that, but this guy is really fun to work with. Mal’s team arrived and began work on the south side of the house. Old siding was removed, any questionable substructure was replaced, and windows were built out for high definition per Mal’s suggestion. Foil faced underlayment was installed with Tyvek House wrap. Sixteen foot 0.046 vinyl panels were used to minimize seams. Aluminum soffit, fascia, and porch ceiling were installed. Old ornamental iron columns were replaced with load bearing square columns, and a new insulated steel garage service door was installed. Although we did not discuss it, Mal’s team redid the aluminum capping on the first floor windows and added aluminum trim around entry doors. Mal’s philosophy was not to shortcut on the appearance of the home. Mal’s craftsmen worked tirelessly and always with concern for the neighbors. Every particle of scrap was removed at the end of each workday. Mal periodically checked their progress and quality of their work, so there were never any fire drills or questions about what needed to be done. I was so impressed with the quality of the job, I gave each installer a case of beer during final cleanup as a gesture of thanks. It all comes down to the notion that if you are going to invest in the appearance and functionality of your home, do it right the first time. I enthusiastically recommend Mal Graifman’s Professional Home Improvement, Inc. without any reservation."

"Great, we can't wait to see the drop in our energy bills and we know we don't have to do it again unlike traditional insulation methods.  They were very informative and made sure we understood everything before the work was done.  They put down plastic to protect our floors and the cleaned up everything as well.  Yes, it may cost a little more, but the satisfaction of knowing we don't have to do it again and that the procedure really addresses the real issues makes us feel good about our investment.

"I needed to replace a 25 year old gas furnace with outside AC unit and a 14-year old 40-gallon water heater in a condo unit. The condo is on a concrete slab with a very small first floor utility closet for the furnace and water heater.  Due to upgrading from an older 80% furnace to 95% furnace and the small closet size any new installation would be challenging.
Interviewed and obtained estimates from several contractors for this job.  A number of contactors were less enthusiastic about the job mainly due to the retrofitting from steel flue pipe to the PVC venting.
Decided to go with Blue Frost Heating & Cooling for this job.  Gil Wagner from Blue Frost Heating & Cooling showed the most confidence in doing a nice job in completing this challenging project.
Originally the job was going to be just the furnace and AC replacement, with the possibility of replacing the water heater. However while reviewing the estimates it became clear a new conventional water heater would no longer fit in the utility closet due to the size increase for new April 15th energy efficiency standards for water heaters. Decided to add a Navien tankless water heater to the project.
Really appreciated Gil?s patience  and accommodations as I worked through some additional project details like adding a custom floor drain pan, adding whole house water filter system to help with anti-scaling for the tankless water heater and getting condo association approval for the PVC venting changes.
Larry and Nick were the Blue Frost installers for the project.  Nothing but high praise for both Larry and Nick.  They treated the installation as if they were doing it for their own home.   Several times Larry and Nick would stop and verify with me regarding the equipment arrangements in the tight closet.  They listened when I suggested alternatives. I?ve seen neighbors with a real mess in the utility closet.  Larry and Nick took great care to neatly fit everything into the small utility closet. Could not be more pleased with the results.
One additional item. Anyone considering an AC replacement and wondering if the additional cost for variable speed compressor vs. a 2-stage compressor is justified, all I can say is yes, it is worth the extra cost.
I have a two story unit with a master bedroom that faces the hot afternoon sun.  This room was always at least 8-degrees warmer than the rest of the house. To make the bedroom comfortable, the rest of the house  becomes uncomfortably cold.
With the new Trane variable speed AC compressor and the variable speed blower the upstairs and downstairs temperature remain the same.  That comfort improvement is worth the extra cost.  And there are two additional benefits with the variable speed compressor:  1) the whole house is now very comfortable with the temperature set at 77-degrees, 2) with the slower blower speeds I can hardly tell when the unit is on.
