"My house was built in 1875. While it has been updated throughout the years, there are some things that need to be addressed. Crossfield came a couple years ago and replaced my furnace and my hot water heater and did a phenomenal job! So now it was time to do some insulation in the basement around the sill. Joe came and did a very thorough audit. He was phenomenal! I thought I needed way more work done than I actually did. Which, how often does that happen?!? He actually explained to me, after going through the house, that I really just needed the sill insulated. And he did it in a way that didn’t make me feel like I was being talked down to. Very, very easy to work with! So Tyler and Kyle came today and insulated the sill in the basement. They were fantastic! I was very upfront with Joe when he came to do the audit, about a fear I have with this old house. He called me afterwards to make sure I was OK, without making me feel like I was just some crazy old lady! Use Crossfield!!!"

"my central air wasn't working and was making a lot of noise. I shut it off until they came and it was a simple matter, took 10 seconds for them to figure it out. They didn't even charge me for the call, we set up a scheduled maintenance for tomorrow while he was here. Yari is the one who comes every time we call and he is phenomenal and very kind and courteous. He installed my new furnace Dec 2021 in less than 3hrs. Great job too. I wouldn't choose anyone else. I live in E Irondequoit, not Webster."

"Use literally anyone but Isaacs. They will take $50k+ of your money and leave you with inoperable, disfunctional heating/ac throughout your entire house. Then do absolutely nothing to help you. They will say over and over how they will make it right. When in reality they will do absolutely nothing to fix the problem. It has been nothing but a nightmare trying to work with Isaacs. I could not regret hiring them more. It's been 6 months of pure torture."

"I had Modern Window put in a very large window right in the front of my house, a window that changes the entire look. They use ProVia products which are made here in the USA. This is not a ProVia review as they are the only reason my sanity is remotely intact after this ordeal. I was PROMISED by my salesman a clean, finished look. I have gotten nothing but the opposite. After the install I contacted the company due to the attached pictures of the "finished" product which was embarrassing and just shy of dangerous to my house. The roof was built right over top of my existing siding and caulked on. The shingles were not the right color which they had blamed on supply chain issues (They went to home Depot the day of install for them. I ordered the window and install with detailed instructions months prior) flashing was wavy, uneven, and had large gaps. Great for a fresh hornets nest. The roof was FAR from centered. And they've all but destroyed my landscaping. Oh yeah. I almost forgot I couldn't open the brand new window because it touched the roof. "okay sir we will fix it" I was scheduled a month out for them to redo it. Fine. Companies are busy. I get it. Well today they came to redo it. The hole in my siding? Too small. The frame of the roof? Split at almost every corner due to them not predrilling. The J-channel to keep water out? Wavy and uneven. Then it started to rain and the installers left saying the office would call me shortly to schedule them to come back leaving two gaping holes in the bottom of the roof. I'm beyond angry at this point. How does a company like that get 4.8 stars? Regular windows? If you don't know how to do the job hire somebody that can. If your wondering too the job was just shy of $9000. That doesn't like like $9000 to me. Don't waste your money, go with anybody else. Even a stranger that says they can do it, at least then you'll get what you pay for. UPDATE 9/14 Forgot to mention during install they tried to leave a ROTTED sil for this behemoth window to rest on to save a buck. Attached picture. Today after having left this review and leaving an angry E-Mail to the GM I was sent out a two man crew to "rectify" the issue. Rick, the owner had a conversation with me about what was expected and I told him the solution to the problem is to remove the overhang, cut the siding down larger, and replace the overhang adding J-channel for a clean, watertight, finished look. He told me that's not an option and instead we would have to figure out another solution. God bless Adam and Brandon for all of their hard work today making it to where at least now it looks like a professional FIXED a botched job. Granted I am still going to have to remove the overhang to reside my house and we had to get quite creative with the caulk, but hey. Now I won't get laughed at by my neighbors and it will keep the expensive new window dry for now. When the guys finished the mcgivered fix to an awful situation I had a conversation with Rick and he wanted to know if I was satisfied. I explained to him that I am not and for me to be satisfied the roof would have to had been redone to the correct size and J-channel flush all the way around. He said he's sorry and instead insulted me with a gift card for my wife and I to go to dinner. A gift card for those who don't know won't keep my window watertight or help me to not redo all their hard work when I need to redo my siding. Anyhow he asked that I take down this review. I will not, I do NOT recommend Modern Window to ANYONE. Especially not someone who won't babysit the guys and might look at a botched job and think it's all okay. It's all fun and games until it's raining inside after all. At this point I'm considering legal action for Deceit, Fraud, and Defective Construction Work as I know for a fact the framing is cracked, splitting, not flush to the wall, and I'm pretty sure the ONLY thing holding the weight of the window. Pretty sure bribery is frowned upon too. FIND ANOTHER CONTRACTOR!!!"

"We are on our third day without hot water. We have a service contract with Taylor. Here's how helpful they were: Day One: Tech comes out early in the day, promises to get back to us with a price estimate and to arrange a repair. Never gets back to us. Day Two, Morning: We call and ask what's going on. The only response we get is basically "Dunno". Day Two, Afternoon: We call and get an answering machine. We ask for a call back and stress that this is urgent. They never get back to us. Day Three, Morning: I call and get put on hold for a long long time. Eventually they come back on the line and say they will get back to us by email with a price and an ETA within ten minutes. It has now been seventeen minutes. No email. Taylor was awful twenty years ago, then got much better. Since they've been taken over by Service Experts they seem to have gone back to they're old ways."

"We were blessed when we bought our home 4 years ago that all the previous homeowners did an amazing job with maintenance and upgrades over the years. The only deficiency was that the home still had its original 30 year old windows. We knew from day one that we needed to replace them sooner than later. We saved up and finally called highly-recommended Comfort Windows last August. Our salesperson, Don, was very thorough and knowledgeable. He explained all our options in great detail without any pressure tactics. We chose the window line manufactured by Comfort Windows themselves in Syracuse. 20 windows, triple-paned, one layer of Low-E coating and argon filling. Our house is a traditional colonial so we stuck with the grids on the front but left them out in the rear. We even changed some windows to picture windows. Wow! What an amazing great decision. The light and views are just gorgeous. We also replaced a sliding door between the house and a sunroom addition. Comfort Windows are great quality and affordable. The craftsmanship is top notch. Great value for the product. Like many others acknowledged, our project was delayed by 3 months due to the pandemic. We were originally given a November installation time frame, but didn’t get them installed until February. The real heroes of this project were Paul and Chris. Temperatures in the teens, thick snowpack, heavy lake effect snow, nothing stopped these guys. They were very professional, polite, COVID conscious, and did quality workmanship through some really tough weather conditions. A few other guys popped in here and there to lend a hand, but I didn’t get to meet them. Paul and Chris were “our guys” and we welcomed them into our home like family. When all said and done, we absolutely love our new Comfort Windows. The energy efficiency ratings are spectacular and we can’t wait until we stick it to RG&E. We used a thermometer to check the difference. While it was 12-degrees outside, our original double-paned windows averaged 40 degrees on the face. Imagine, that’s like leaving multiple refrigerators wide open 24/7. The new Comfort Windows were 60 to 65 degrees on the face of the glass. What a difference! We actually had to turn down our thermostat because we were sweating at night. The windows are gorgeous and you can just tell that they were built to last well into the future. A great investment with no buyers remorse. You just can’t beat Comfort Windows. Don’t believe the hype of the overrated national brand. How can a window made to be “one size fits all” serve the climates of California, Florida, Arizona and the winters of New York? These windows are made in New York. These windows are made for New York. Support local businesses and local hard working men and women."
