"They serviced and inspected the furnace and gave us the and quot;okand quot; to use it. They were very professional, answered all our questions and very honest. They even called a few days later to make sure that everything was running well. We will definitely use them again, it was a great experience at a tough time. They did a great job and price was fair.

"He came in inspected the area, made suggestions on hot water heater replacements. Left to get the replacement, returned quickly, and installed unit with additional upgrades, plus offered and completed additional work to reduce the chance of having flooding problems damage my heater in the future! Great guy! He’s on my “go to guy” for any future issues in my 1850 home!"

"Fred and his team are true stars. We needed to replace our entire HVAC system and they came in to do free estimation on the day that I submit the request. We had contacted several other local companies and all of them were asking for over 10k even with some cheaper/smaller brands. We finally landed with Southern Tier Heating and got Lennox for less than 7k including labor . They were able to start the project within 3 days from the day that I made decision and got job done in 2 days. Super nice and respectful team. Strongly recommend."

FAQs for heat pump repair or service projects in Corning, NY

Heat pumps move air to cool or warm your home during different seasons. In cold weather, they extract heat from the outdoors and bring it inside to warm your home. In warm weather, they remove heat from your home to keep it cool. This efficient heat transfer increases indoor comfort, improves energy efficiency, and reduces the need for additional heating systems.

Replacing a heat pump costs between $4,200 and $7,900. The actual cost depends on the type of heat pump. Geothermal models are the most expensive to replace, with the price of the unit plus labor ranging between $6,000 and $20,000. Air source models cost between $4,500 and $8,000 to replace, while the replacement costs for a mini split unit run between $1,300 and $8,000.

The average heat pump is designed to last about 14 years, roughly the same as a central air conditioning system (12 to 15 years). Newer models can last 20 years or more. How long your heat pump lasts depends on how frequently you use it and whether you perform routine maintenance like annual tuneups.
