"Jim responded promptly to my order placed on Angie's List for the Remote Computer Tune Up & Repair Deal.  He cleaned up the computer remotely, which was running very slowly, and required frequent re-boots.  Computer is running much faster now.  Great service.  Would highly recommend.

"Called another company originally they asked how old the furnace is and I said about 5 yrs. old (it is 6 yrs old). They informed me that I should get a hold of the company that put it in because it should still be under warranty, which after I looked it was. So I called Service Today to set up an appt. to have them look at it. Andrew came out and with various questions asked I said that the thermostat we have is wifi and that is how we run it. Comcast upgraded the wifi in the neighborhood the day before and it was today I woke up and noticed that the thermostat wifi was not connected to the wifi anymore. He looked into it and noticed that when I put it on heat via by phone app or manually by the wall thermostat, it was turning on the A/C instead and visa versa. He came at a price to me of about $350 to run a diagnostic to find the issue. He did and then he comes back and tells me that the thermostat itself is burn out (I bought the thermostat from them when I had the new furnace installed 6 yrs. ago). Andrew goes to his van and of course comes with only 2 thermostats that he has on hand. One is not wifi and it was $350 or so and the other was $800 which was wifi programmable. He did say we could just go and get one from Best Buy or something but we would have to install it. We decided on the lower cost of the 2. As he was installing it I looked up the retail cost for the same exact one he was putting in (Honeywell T4Pro) and it was $75 at Best Buy. I mean really.........that much of a mark up in cost!!! It is like this company does not understand that we are in a pandemic and that money for so many people is really really tight!! To gouge customers like that. As I sat in my office crying about the cost I let myself get washed into, after a while I asked Andrew why such a big cost increase on the thermostat. He said he has nothing to do with the pricing of items, which I understood. Andrew was a nice guy and just doing his job. I put this gouging at the feet of the company because right now, people have to decide to either pay a heating/electric/etc. bill or pay a company a massive cost to have a thermostat put in. Andrew did take down some wires that were for a humidifier that was on the old furnace prior to installing the new one and also cleaned some dust and lint from the furnace. Will I call these guys again, only if I know that there is something wrong with the furnace that is under warranty still, other then that, I cannot afford them. They were better when they were Airtech. The C rating I gave it has more to do with how nice Andrew was then the company. For the company itself, I give it an F"

"Ferraraâ s installed a completely new HVAC system in our house. I had several other quotes come in and they beat them all. But more importantly, they did excellent work and had terrific customer service. And they did it all in a timely manner. I strongly recommend using this company and plan on using them for any future needs."

"About an hour after calling Kaduce Plumbing and Heating, the service person arrived and promptly set about replacing our recirculating pump on our hot water heat furnace. He did a great job, and we had heat in about 30 minutes after he arrived. The service man even questioned why I had throttled down one of our heat lines by about 70%. That line goes to our upstairs and with an open stairway, the heat goes upstairs so we need less heat up there. Even throttled down, our upstairs stays about 10-15 degrees warmer than the ground floor. The service man did an excellent job of cleaning up after himself, so it's neater around the furnace than when he arrived."

FAQs for heat pump repair or service projects in Deerwood, MN

Heat pumps move air to cool or warm your home during different seasons. In cold weather, they extract heat from the outdoors and bring it inside to warm your home. In warm weather, they remove heat from your home to keep it cool. This efficient heat transfer increases indoor comfort, improves energy efficiency, and reduces the need for additional heating systems.

Replacing a heat pump costs between $4,200 and $7,900. The actual cost depends on the type of heat pump. Geothermal models are the most expensive to replace, with the price of the unit plus labor ranging between $6,000 and $20,000. Air source models cost between $4,500 and $8,000 to replace, while the replacement costs for a mini split unit run between $1,300 and $8,000.

The average heat pump is designed to last about 14 years, roughly the same as a central air conditioning system (12 to 15 years). Newer models can last 20 years or more. How long your heat pump lasts depends on how frequently you use it and whether you perform routine maintenance like annual tuneups.
