"The latest visit diagnosed a failed ignition valve which needed to be ordered and replaced. They arrived promptly, assessed, diagnosed and ordered the parts immediately. It only took a few days for the parts to arrive and they were able to schedule me in for the service call. The first technician was able to maintain the ignition valve until the new part was available, which was directly responsible for heating my home. The second technician installed the part and was able to assist me in some technical updates on the app and digital thermostats. I learned so much from Michael and appreciated his knowledge and patience. He also fixed a safety issue on the second level and adjusted the air flow for the system. The system sounds so much quieter. It was a warranty issue with no cost."

"Mr. Ferrell first connected his computer to my computer via internet and worked for quite a few hours trying to determine what exactly was wrong. The next day he continued working from his computer for several hours. He determined he would have to have my desktop tower to complete the repair. He and my son met in Huntsville to exchange the tower. He then cleaned up a lot of what was wrong and reloaded Windows 10. He deleted the D: drive which had way too much memory allotted to it. The tower was returned and I plugged it all back together and it is working better than it did when I first purchased it. I would use him again and I recommend him highly to anyone needing computer updating and/or repair. His work is warrantied and he is very personable, knowledgeable, and helpful."

They took the time to educate us on our situation and how their solutions were resolve our issues. They gave us a very fair price and worked very hard to install our heat pump in our basement and repair a cooling problem in the upstairs system. They didn't stop until we were fully satisfied with everything....great job!!"

"Mike and his team (Aaron) went out of their way to make sure we had AC on the hottest holiday of the year... Made a call at 7am Tuesday morning, Mike was out Tuesday evening... Wednesday afternoon had the numbers and Saturday was installing the new system. Just in time too, because when the cats are panting and the inside temp is 95 degrees... it was getting dire. "Though AmeriServ were expensive, I have no regrets using their service.  The service tech came out on a Wednesday to quote me for the work.  I used an Angie's Deal for fan installation for $125.  The $125 did include installation, however, did not include a $49 service charge.  During the consultation, the service tech Mike provided an estimate to install a kitchen chandelier and pendant lights.  The crew came out on Friday to conduct the work.  There were two techs assigned to the job, one was Joshua, I can't remember the other gentleman's name.  They were on time, were clean; they protected my new hardwood floors.  I was very pleased.  While packing up to leave, Joshua noticed that the GFC outlet on the front porch was inoperable.  He tested it to confirm it was indeed non-functional and provided a quote of $100 to replace.  I took them up on the offer and allowed them to change out the GFC outlet.  The work was a little expensive, however, given the excellent customer service and the fact that the work is warranted for, I believe, a year it was all very worth it to me.  I will not hesitate to call AmeriServ back out for any electrical service needs.

"Better than expected. Phil was the only contractor that responded AND came to my house on the same day that I called all the other contractors. He provided me the potential problem for my heat pump issues on the phone that eventually was confirmed during his initial visit and then during disassembly of the old duct system. He was very helpful in providing me additional savings and existing tax credits for the Attic Breeze vent system installed including for the heat pump providing me with the forms. Swift service done on a short time from initial call to complete installation (less than 1 week and completed installation in 7 hours). Great job by the technicians on the installation and housekeeping after the job was completed. Ben A."

"Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."
