Our chimney was separating from the house (result of last year's earthquake) by millimeters, but it was a safety issue. He explored alternatives with us, and re-build was the best, safe option. His estimate came in lower than two others. The crew worked steadily, used bricks that were a virtual match, and the owner paused to answer any questions that we posed. "Highly recommended!  I contracted with Brick Solutions owner, Joe Walls, to have a badly damaged concrete driveway replaced with brick pavers.  I had previously gotten estimates for replacing the driveway with new concrete but I was concerned about damaging the roots of a very old tulip poplar tree adjacent to the driveway.  When the concrete contractor informed
me if he didn?t cut the roots he couldn?t guarantee the concrete but if he did cut the roots he could not guarantee the tree would survive, I decided to go with brick.
Joe said he could do the driveway without damaging the roots.  He broke up the old concrete with a jackhammer rather than bringing in heavy equipment.  We consulted with an arborist who told Joe what could or could not be cut.  When our plan to save a portion of the old concrete did not work out because it was too cracked Joe volunteered to break it up and replace it
with brick at no extra charge.  He worked carefully, followed all out suggestions, and managed to give us a smooth brick
driveway that looks much better than what we had before.
In short, Brick Solutions did a great job for a reasonable price and it was pleasure to work with Joe.

"The price was great, but the workmanship was not all that good. This company seems to specialize in chimney work, and they are probably OK for that because you can't really see most chimneys up close so sloppy mortar joints aren't really visible.  Patching a large hole in existing brick is a bit of an art, though, and their mason did not really have the skills to do this properly.
The man who did the estimate was thorough and helpful, and although he was late, he called to let me know.  He promised to email me a written quote in a couple of days.  When the quote did not arrive, I tried emailing him and got no answer. After several days of this, I called the company and was told that their computer was down, but that Oscar (the owner) would come by my houses the next day and bring the written quote.
Oscar arrived as promised, and said he was able to do the work that same day, so I let him. He and one other mason completed the tasks.
He reset some loose stones in a flagstone sidewalk and filled in missing mortar. That work looked OK, though not great, as the mortar didn't really match the existing. The flagstones were irregular in shape, so the mortar joints didn't have to be perfect. I also had him brick in a hole that was left when we removed a heat/air conditioning unit that was built into the wall when a room was added onto the house.  While the color of the brick was a good match, the bricks were not laid exactly straight, and the mortar joints were not tooled to match the surrounding joints, so the patch looks sloppy. There was also a lot of excess mortar on the bricks, which left a white haze.
I complained to Oscar that I was not happy with the brick work. He agreed to come out and clean the bricks, which he did, but he would not do anything about the crooked bricks.

"Todd is easy to work with.  He is reasonable in pricing and his people do quality work.  His tile people did an excellent job on the floor and shower.  They take care of and respect your property while they are working.  The first thing his people did was cover all of the furniture in our master bedroom with plastic.  [We moved to another bedroom while the work was being done].  Every day they covered the floor and carpets that they had to cross to get to the master bathroom.  He is pretty much a "one-stop shop".  He supplies and/or arranges for everything with the exception of lighting.  He does supply the electrical contractor to perform the lighting installation and any other electrical work.  On display in his showroom are various tile patterns for the shower/bath which makes the selection process considerably easier. With the exception of the fabrication and installation of the frameless shower enclosure, the work was done in about 5-6 days.
This was a major remodel job and it was pretty much painless and went off without a hitch.  I did have a few minor items that needed correction/attention and he arranged for those to be taken care of promptly and without question.  His painters do an adequate job.  I do agree with another reviewer who would have like to see more supervision on the job.  I don't think it would have made a difference in the end product but, at the very least, someone should be looking over the final work once completed before seeking final payment.  That did not happen on my job and it would be the only small complaint I had.

UPDATE:  We are currently in the process of planning another bathroom remodel with TLG as well as some additional tile work.  That would seem to be the highest recommendation I can make."
