"Installed my elderly grandmother Norma's HVAC 6 years ago. Recently A coil was icing up. She was told she'd need a new A coil (not cleaning first). A-Coil was covered under 10 year warranty but not labor. They quoted her 2900 to install the new A-Coil. I checked with multiple other HVAC firms, and the labor to install this part and the refridgerant was on the order of 900-1000. This firm gouged my elderly grandmother. They didn't send her an itemized bill, so I think they just have a set price that includes the part. They took her money and there has been no effort by them to make this right. Watch out, they'll do this to you too or someone you love. They said it's inflation, but this is what happens when they sense that they can take advantage of someone. They won't talk to me (her grandson), only her, and told her there was nothing they could do and just took her money. Beware, use someone else, you cannot trust these people."

A full sheet metal shop enables us to fabricate anything that is needed for duct systems and modifications. On the roofing side, we have sub-contracted to the same licensed and insured roofing and gutter contractors since 2009. When needing to make an insurance claim we are able to expertly see you through the entire claim process. Payment is due upon completion unless the job is worked through an insurance claim. A 10% Senior Citizen discount is offered on the labor and service call for HVAC services only. Financing is not available, but we do accept all major credit cards. FREE estimates are always offered on new or replacement HVAC equipment or roofing and gutter installations. Our phones are answered from 8:00 to 5:00 Monday thru Friday with office hours 8:00 to 5:00 Monday thru Thursday.

Heat pumps rely on evaporation and condensation processes. The unit transfers heat through the system via a compressed refrigerant. The compressor within the pump circulates the refrigerant through two coils. The first coil evaporates the refrigerant and absorbs warmth from the air. The refrigerant then passes to the second coil, where it condenses, and the unit releases the absorbed heat.
A well-installed and well-maintained heat pump lasts an average of 12 to 20 years. Routine filter changes, annual tune‑ups, and prompt repairs help the equipment reach the upper end of that range, while skipped maintenance or poor installation can shorten its life and raise long‑term costs. Ask your heat pump installation pro for maintenance recommendations so you can get the maximum benefit from your unit.
Heat pumps are most effective in regions where winter lows remain above approximately 40°F. Efficiency starts to drop below that point and falls off sharply near 25°F. If you live in a colder area, look for a model with a high Heating Seasonal Performance Factor (HSPF) and plan on supplemental heat during deep freezes to keep energy use in check.
The biggest drawbacks are the upfront cost and poor cold-weather performance. Installation can require electrical upgrades or duct changes, and once temperatures fall well below freezing, the unit may need help from a furnace or electric resistance coils. Factor in those add‑ons, along with routine maintenance, when you weigh the long‑term savings against the initial investment.
