Out of habit, I had been using another vendor who recently told me in the last 10 days that my unit was oversized for my duct work, that it was going to take 6 hours to fix it, and was about to sell me a part with installation and labor that would have cost $1400. The tech said it would break in a year and the owner basically tried to sell me a new AC unit. Got a little suspicious after asking if my unit could be adjusted since it was a variable speed down to a 3 ton and the owner said, "well, let me send my tech again". I called Southern Air and spoke to Clint, the owner. I had purchased the unit 7 years ago and without hesitation, Clint visited with his technician, and replaced the part that was a known problem with my manufacturer. He warrantied the part and was back out in two days and had the system cooling within 2 hours. I will only use Southern Air Mechanical and now know how trustworthy they are and what excellent service they provide. Zac has outstanding superior advanced technical understanding of these complex systems including my one system with complex iHarmony zoning features. He made wiring improvements to prevent irregularities and glitches in the future. "They did a good job, but charged $195 for a $60 dollar part, plus the $70 trip fee. They did provide the 10% Angie's list discount. Total cost $256 to replace the part. Professional people and he did wash both units to remove grass build up which was very nice. Very high price."

"The overall process went very well. Like most home projects, this turned out to be a much more complicated installation process requiring the team to return several times to "get it right." Throughout the process, I was assured that the company would not rest until the system pressure was inside the manufacturers specs. Grant AC added a new return duct and ultimately a new supply duct to achieve the desired results. All of this additional work was included in the original quoted price. From the moment the owner Stacey called me till the end of the installation, it's been a smooth experience. The owner stopped by our house 40 mins after the phone call on Sunday during labor day long weekend, quoted us a very reasonable price, and showed up at 630 am in the following Tuesday morning(Monday is labor day) as promised with his crew. Everyone is polite and professional, not only did they do an excellent job on the installation but also went extra miles to make sure unit is properly arranged in our limited space attic and of course they cleaned up everything afterwards. I posted my project on Sunday morning expecting to get this done in a few weeks and the job is done 2 days after, this is hands down my best experience on home advisor so far.
