"I had completed the same repair on my previous house in the past and it was a simple process. I expected the replacement kit would cost about $20-$40. I was told by their office when I made the appointment that I would be told of any other repairs needed before work was commenced. They replaced the toilet bowl kit and also a short water hose leading into the water tank without talking to me. The total cost over $260 for what I thought would be a simple project. I feel taken advantage of."

"Jeff was the first person to notice that my humidifier was not functioning properly. It had been serviced for 10 years prior and he was the first person to inform me there even was a filter that needed to be replaced. I appreciated that he notice the issue so it could be corrected."

"They routed up here and I signed for a Silver Membership; On Oct 18, 2017 they came and did the tune up and checking of the Air Conditioning Unit, And then the next service was supposed to be sometime this year around March or April, but they haven't contacted me yet for this year's schedule of service. "New installation went well. I was a little upset that only 50% was covered being that the unit was 19 years old. I'm sure that parts for something that old would be hard to find. Replacement was recommended."

"Pros - 1) Came out on same day we called, 2) returned the next day to do the job, 3) finished job in one day except for some follow up details, 4) removed and then reinstalled door frame and trim on hvac closet door in order to access/replace indoor unit, 5) punctual.

Cons - 1)  Did not go thru the programmable thermostat "installers setup" process on the initial installation.  This meant some of the settings were therefore wrong and the unit would not run in heat mode.  To their credit, they promptly came back out (on my request) and worked thru the setup process and made sure everything was programmed and functioning properly.  However, this is a critical installation step (system wont work right if it is not done) which should should have been done right the first time.

Overall, my experience was good and I would use them again.  I did not get a chance to get other bids, so I cannot say whether the price was competitive.  We wanted to get the job done asap and Mark was able to accomodate.  The equipment came with a 10 year manufacturer parts warranty and Mark provided a matching labor warranty at no additional charge."

FAQs for central humidifier installation and replacement projects in Mounds, OK

A crawl space dehumidifier is a worthwhile investment, particularly in humid climates or if you've noticed musty odors, mold growth, or wood deterioration. Though costs range from $3,000 to $9,200, this investment helps prevent structural damage that could require far more expensive repairs later. Beyond structural protection, a properly dehumidified crawl space contributes to better overall indoor air quality and may reduce allergens throughout your home. Consider having a professional assessment to determine if your specific situation warrants this investment.

Addressing crawl space moisture effectively often requires a combination of solutions. A complete approach includes encapsulation plus dehumidifier installation. For minor moisture issues, a basic dehumidifier starting at $1,500 may suffice, while severe problems in larger spaces could require systems costing up to $14,000. The most effective moisture control strategy depends on your specific conditions, making a professional assessment valuable for determining the most cost-effective approach for your situation.

For a crawl space measuring 1,500 square feet, you'll need a dehumidifier with a daily capacity of 30 to 50 pints, with unit costs ranging from $150 to $600. Your local climate and existing moisture levels may necessitate adjusting this capacity—homes in particularly humid regions might benefit from higher-capacity units. Professional installers can measure your specific humidity conditions and recommend equipment that is appropriately sized, balancing initial cost with operating efficiency for your unique situation.

Crawl space dehumidifiers add $300 to $500 to your annual electricity expenses when operating continuously. Energy-efficient models reduce this consumption by roughly 15 to 30% compared to standard units. Most contemporary dehumidifiers feature humidity sensors that automatically cycle operation based on current conditions, helping manage energy usage. Proper crawl space encapsulation significantly improves efficiency by creating a controlled environment that requires less dehumidifier runtime, thereby reducing ongoing electricity costs.
