Our coil plate and gasket were rotted and bolts had snapped and we decided that we would replace the boiler because ours was 16 years old. We spoke with the owner and sales manager the following morning and were told that they would be happy to replace the boiler if that is what we wanted to do but they felt our boiler could be repaired at a fraction of the cost and no where near the end of it's usable life. So we decided to go for the repair and they were right, it worked like a charm! So instead of a $9,000 boiler and indirect replacement, we spent $472 and my boiler was up and running the next day. We have used Advanced Mechanical Services for our conversion from oil to natural gas and for our air conditioning installation. They have always been very professional, courteous, prompt and their pricing has always been competitive. I would highly recommend them."

This was a fairly large job, seeing it was a Multi floor house with two independent systems running both upstairs and the main floor. They also explained to me how adding a heat pump system to the house would help make heating my house less expensive during fall and spring. They replaced the entire upstairs duct work and reconfigured the entire house to run balanced and efficient. "The representative came on time and listened carefully to my thoughts of a split ductless system. He suggested full house central air and showed me how it could be done, have ducts i stalled and cost less than a ductless system. His experience of over 20 years as a technician as well gave me a lot of confidence. He made a general proposal and came back in a few days for my convenience and I signed the contract. The duct crew finished in one day and were careful, explained things and left no mess. Then the ac was installed and tested in one day. Again polite, clearly communicated. Once the system started up late spring I am so glad I did this! No more noise from room ac, no shutting doors to keep one room cool. The humidity is normal and makes a huge positive difference. "We met with Jeff initially for an estimate on a property we were purchasing. He worked with us to have the work performed right after closing. His crew did a great job, all work was performed as outlined in the estimate with no hidden charges. We did add a couple small items to the scope of the project with no problems. His crew removed mold damaged materials and sprayed to deter future mold growth. They also installed a new sump pump and a perimeter system at the back of our basement, as well as a new bath vent in the attic. Work was performed timely and to our satisfaction the first time. Gabe was the project manger on site and was very good at responding to our questions throughout the project. We would recommend Charter Oak for both mold remediation and basement water proofing. They use the same perimeter system as another highly rated company on Angie's list."
