"I cant say enough great things about the services performed by this company! To the detailed diagnostic with explanation so that we understood exactly what was going on to the timely arrival and understanding of our sense of urgency, the service was incredible! We had to have an ENTIRE gas line placed into the home due to multiple gas leaks and instead of just telling us this, we were shown IN DETAIL how this decision was determined which immediately established trust! The work was so beautifully done that even the gas company told us Wow, whoever did this did an excellent job! I highly highly recommend this company and will be referring and using again for any of our HVAC/Plumbing needs!"

"The business reached out to me quickly after I put my Angie Contractor request in for plumbing service. They scheduled a plumber to come out quickly. Patrick assessed the problem and provided 3 different estimates for the work that could be done to resolve the issue. He was efficient and very careful when working in our bathroom. He did a great job, and I am so happy to have our plumbing issue resolved. I highly recommend this business for your plumbing needs. "

"Unique Indoor Comfort replaced my very old oil heaters with new high efficiency gas furnaces in 2 houses (mine and a rental). 120,000 BTU and 100,000 BTU. They were absolutely above and beyond anything I could have expected. The sales person that came out (Chris) was extremely knowledgeable and the prices were reasonable. The installs were done over 3 days and the workman (Ricky and Brian) were extremely professional. These were fairly complicated install jobs, but they accomplished them so smoothly and professionally, you would never know. The new ducting was immaculate, the pipes were run perfectly, they taped everything, provided a tutorial on the unit, and left it perfectly clean. I've had a lot of contractors over the years and I could not think of a better company to recommend. I almost never bother with reviews, but these guys definitely deserve it. A 5 star company."

"From start to finish team was professional, respectful of property and courteous to owner. Located broken heat pipes under floorboards, removed, replaced, bled radiators and tested system, restoring heat to bedroom and living room. Came out day and time scheduled, gave free estimate. No hassles, would definitely hire again. <br />"

"Great experience with these guys. Phil returned my call right away and once we agreed to the job, his team was able to come out quickly to get the work done. Steve and James took out the old leaking part of the pipe and replaced with PVC. They were both wonderful and were great about answering my questions and clearly explaining what they were going to do. Job went very well. Highly recommend and will definately hire again. Professional, nice, and easy to work with."

"My Plumber responded to my inquiry immediately the day of the emergency within 2 hours of the call. They were very professional, detail oriented and thorough regarding the repair that needed to be completed. They repaired my water tank the following day and were very accommodating regarding prioritizing the job, since I needed to get my tenant back in the apartment ASAP. They went above and beyond providing me with advice for potential future projects. This is the first time I worked with this provider, I would contact them again in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone who needs their services."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Philadelphia, PA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
