As a single woman running my own home and being very particular.....it is extremely important to be able to discuss the job, hear all the details, and employ someone who is honest, honorable, well qualified, neat, and highly informed. I first hired Rob for the drain problem. He accomplished that efficiently and neatly at a reasonable price. We discussed options for a back up for the sump pump. Having a finished basement, I am always concerned about water. I have never lost electricity during a rain storm....but the possibility always takes up space in my brain. "I am a returning customer. Tim and co did a stellar job installing my water softener. At the time when he gave me the quote for the softener, he also included a separate quote for a Reverse osmosis (RO) unit. At that time, I just did the softener with out the RO, thinking I would continue getting bottled water as I did. Fast forward to last week, I can no longer buy water in the larger 2.5 gallon cans due to high demand during the COVID 19 situation. The softener that Tim put has been working flawlessly for the last 2 years and I called NMP again to enquire about adding the RO system. They were very nice and still honored the original quote and got it done promptly. They gave me the option to install a separate faucet near the sink or have the water dispensed from the refrigerator. I chose the latter. I am glad I no longer need to depend on the stores for drinking water. Given the sudden high demand, NMP could have easily done price gouging if they were greedy. But they did not. It shows their high ethics, moral values and integrity in which they operate. I will continue to recommend Tim and Co to my friends and colleagues."

"When I asked for a quote I was given less than $200 to install on most of the plumbers. When Pascale called said it was $450. Then the new tank was taller and had to cut pipes and replace plus valves. Another $200. You should quote between $450-$650 plus tax. $200 is just wrong."

"Really well. When I called for the appointment the woman who answered the phone was pleasant and helpful and got me an appointment the next day. One of the pipes installed during renovation less than a year ago was too short. Graham and Calvin repaired that and snaked out the pipes removing a clog from years ago in the older pipes. They left everything as clean as when they began. They were on time, courteous, and knowledgeable. They emailed me their pictures when they were on their way so that I would know who they were when they arrived. If I need help with a plumbing problem again, I will definitely call on them again."

"KSP is now my new plumber. I needed a plumber to install a whole home 3-stage water filtration system. After getting multiple quotes, I went with Kyle. Unlike the other plumbers I met with, he was willing to use 100% copper pipe (vs plastic PEX) and hardcore Flux/sodder fittings (vs. compression) for my budget. Kyle and his father arrived on time, were totally organized and equipped, and extremely courteous. The job was performed to perfection. The water filtration system was installed to a "commercial grade", but at a very fair "residential" price."

"They did the entire basement (complete perimeter "french drain", 2 sump pumps, etc). Al and his crew were phenomenal. Professional, clean (which is something for this type of work), and responsible. His crew came to work, knocking out everything in less than 2 days. I like to do things correctly and only once. While he was not the cheapest, his name says it all - it was done the RIGHT WAY. "From start to finish the work was top notch!   Doug, the owner, came to give us an estimate  and he was very knowledgeable and very mater of fact about the work that had to be done, the time it would take and the pricing was totally transparent, based
on the size of our basement and the work we needed to have done.
We scheduled a date, gave him a small deposit and everything went verysmoothly.  A few days before the start date for the project we got a call from, Louie, the A-1 Director of Operations.  Louie reviewed everything for the project; start time, number of days it would take, etc.  And the crew arrived as scheduled.  They were knowledgeable, friendly and very polite.  The Foreman reviewed everything  with me again before they started and they worked quickly and relatively quietly, given the nature of the work. They cleaned up everything really well, and I suspect the basement floor was cleaner when they finished than it was when they arrived.
I would recommend A-1 Basements and I would use them again, however, based on the workmanship I?m assuming we won?t need basement waterproofing again!! At least not for this house!
