They replaced the compressor including unraveling other HVAC techs bizarre wiring in under 4 hours and gave me pointers on what to look for to avoid problems in the future. Straightforward and honest, I couldn’t expect more from an HVAC tech."

"Mohamed was great! I hired him to fix a 5 yrs old Whirlpool Refrigerator/Freezer that was no longer cooling/freezing. He arrived on time and promptly went to work. Within 30 minutes, he had a diagnosis for me - the appliance had a leak and no longer contained any refrigerant. Mohamed laid out my repair options, but told me that the repairs might be short-lived and I might still have to buy a new unit. I really appreciated his kind responses to my questions and concerns. He didn't mansplain everything as most repair technicians do when speaking with women. For a small fee, Mohamed also did a maintenance check on my Kitchenaid dishwasher that had leaked a few times recently. Since the repair fee was 1/4 the cost of a new refrigerator, I had Mohamed replace the refrigerant. This will give me some time to find a new unit should I need to purchase one in the near future. "They came the same day that I contacted them and identified the problem which was the oven thermostat. Came back the following day and replaced it. They sent me a tracker so I knew exactly when they repair person would arrive. All went well, no delays. Also gave me advice on another issue I had. I liked that they were honest about value for money and whether it was worth fixing something vs replacing it altogether. The price was comparable to other work that I have had done. The problem is that overall prices are too high in this area and I doubt I would have found a better deal if I had shopped around. I the end, I paid the price of half a range just to have a part replaced. I will certainly hire them again since they are prompt, professional, and honest."

"Manni did a great job of diagnosing and repairing my ice maker. First of all, the water line to the fridge was old and brittle...and had a leak in it. Manni replaced the line and suggested the lower water valve could be why the ice maker wasn't working. We agreed to replace the valve and a few days later he came back and installed the new part. Then he mentioned that in order for the ice maker to start working again we would need to shut off the refrigerator for 24 hours. Finally, over this past weekend we went through the thawout and presto - the ice maker started working again. We've had a couple of other companies try to figure out the problem but Manni took care of it for us. Thanks!"

" I called American Home Services for the remediation of mold in the basement (3 bedrooms, a family room, and 1 bathroom) of my home. Kurt Randell, the President of AHS, came for a free estimate. Kurt is a master of his trade: he is very knowledgeable, honest, courteous, and sensitive to the client's needs. No pressure and no scare tactics. I was concerned about the chemicals used, and Kurt addressed that concern by telling me that he would send me information about the two chemicals that he uses, - Benefect and Shockwave - and I could decide which one I wanted as late as the day of the job. (I chose Benefect.) I received the estimate within 24 hours, and the price was reasonable. We set up a time that was convenient for me. Kurt's workmen, Jeff and Seth, are professional, courteous, and extremely responsive. They did a very thorough job. They removed and discarded all contaminated items from the property (carpet, padding, tack strips, furniture, books, etc.), the contaminated lower part of the drywall in 2 rooms (a larger area than that which was included in the estimate - at no additional cost), and the contaminated back half of the bathroom ceiling. They hauled away all the contaminated items in their truck, - a real feat, because on the first day of the job we had a constant, driving rain. Jeff and Seth helped me determine if a given item could be cleaned, or had to be trashed. When I indicated that I would like to keep certain memorabilia, they put them aside and cleaned them, item by item. Jeff and Seth bio-washed the entire contaminated area with Benefect, and treated exposed wires, vents, and piping with an EPA fungicide. Finally, they applied an EPA registered anti-microbial encapsulation to the treated area. On the second day of the job (which lasted 3 days), Kurt had already lined up several contractors (waterproofing, drywall build-back, and tile floor), that I would need following the mold remediation. This was tremendously helpful, because it saved me the time and effort of having to interview and co-ordinate the various workmen. When the job was done, Jeff and Seth cleaned the basement meticulously. Following the mold remediation, Kurt did an air quality test, and sent it to a microbial consulting lab. The result of the test: I now have a mold-free home. I give AHS the highest possible recommendation. Kurt, Jeff, and Seth did an amazing job, and, if the need arises, I would want no other company. I will definitely recommend AHS to family members and friends.

"Tech came out on Friday 11/22/24 at 6:00 which was after I was home from work. Quickly diagnosed problem and told me a dryer fuse had burned out. He came out the next day and repaired the dryer very quickly and cleaned up. Now I could have opted to replace just that fuse but he told me there were 3 fuses and the other fuses could go anytime as the dryer was at least 15 years old. It would have been cheaper just to replace the one fuse but i told him to replace all 3. That would have been penny wise & dollar foolish as if another fuse went that would have been another service call fee from that company or another plus the cost of parts & labor. I was also advised to have the dryer cleaned every 2 years which I will do. I'll probably look into how to do it myself as I am pretty handy and always looking to save money. It was a lot of money to pay for the repair at once but cheaper then a home warranty. I have had bad experiences with more then one home warranty company and have cancelled as a result. Also home warranty companies choose the service provider for you and I haven't been impressed with some of them. My advice to anyone paying a home warranty company every month would be to take that $60 or more you pay every month to them and put it in a savings account for emergency's including home appliance repair. Also on top of the monthly payment when you need them there is a service fee to pay before they come out."

Great, Two technicians showed up and began work. I was called in to view the original builders work. Really! My builder did not even have an electrical box to feed the lights just a wire. I was told some drywall would be removed to feed the wires for the 2 lights. OK.. Well they cut the wall ran the wires set the boxes and replaced the piece of drywall with the scraps. I now have 2 perfectly centered and level locations for my lights. They even left me some drywall scarps from the holes they cut to fill the hammer holes the original builder left.

A great job from a great crew. My wife loved the  sound of the Vac when they cleaned up whatever mess they made. I never saw the mess. Great! Great! Great!

I/m looking for more electrical work just to have them back.....
