"We had a humidifier installed. They installed it quickly and professionally. The installer Jimmy was very helpful and even gave me a couple pointers in regards to installing a wifi thermostat. I've always had great experiences with Kath/Aquarius home services and will definitely use them again."

"After numerous delays the techs finally got to the house and determined that the new humidifier was not the correct application for my house. The existing failed. They ended up replacing the thermostat and control unit instead of installing a brand new unit."

"We would wholeheartedly recommend Total Comfort. Our AC quit on the 4th of July weekend, and the on call technician Brian walked us thru some steps to see if they were even needed to come out, which unfortunately they were. We appreciated that they tried to help us avoid unnecessary emergency rates, and when they did come out Scott was very professional and friendly, and he of course fixed everything to keep our furnace and AC ready for all the seasons."

"The problems were taken care of. The clogged pipe was clogged WAY down, and had not responded to enzyme treatment; Dave used something stronger and replaced some older metal pipe with plastic (which should make things easier for me in the future). The kitchen faucet needed a new "cartridge"."

"We were getting a new furnace installed by a different
company. The furnace installer brought in this company to do the full removal
of our old furnace and the asbestos.
The price in removal was included in with our install, so I
do not have an exact cost. Plus I don't think that really matters when you are
talking about your health and family?s health. The two men that came in to do
the job were friendly, quick and careful. They laid down fabric to protect our
floors and cleaned up after themselves when they were finished. I would highly
recommend them to another homeowner.

"Everything was perfect. I left a voicemail and he called me back within minutes. We discussed my problems and he understood my computer gibberish. He came to my house to pick up the laptop. He notified me that night about the cost of the replacement parts and length of shipping. He then contacted me when my computer was fixed. He delivered it to my house.

FAQs for central humidifier installation and replacement projects in Willernie, MN

A crawl space dehumidifier is a worthwhile investment, particularly in humid climates or if you've noticed musty odors, mold growth, or wood deterioration. Though costs range from $3,000 to $9,200, this investment helps prevent structural damage that could require far more expensive repairs later. Beyond structural protection, a properly dehumidified crawl space contributes to better overall indoor air quality and may reduce allergens throughout your home. Consider having a professional assessment to determine if your specific situation warrants this investment.

Addressing crawl space moisture effectively often requires a combination of solutions. A complete approach includes encapsulation plus dehumidifier installation. For minor moisture issues, a basic dehumidifier starting at $1,500 may suffice, while severe problems in larger spaces could require systems costing up to $14,000. The most effective moisture control strategy depends on your specific conditions, making a professional assessment valuable for determining the most cost-effective approach for your situation.

For a crawl space measuring 1,500 square feet, you'll need a dehumidifier with a daily capacity of 30 to 50 pints, with unit costs ranging from $150 to $600. Your local climate and existing moisture levels may necessitate adjusting this capacity—homes in particularly humid regions might benefit from higher-capacity units. Professional installers can measure your specific humidity conditions and recommend equipment that is appropriately sized, balancing initial cost with operating efficiency for your unique situation.

Crawl space dehumidifiers add $300 to $500 to your annual electricity expenses when operating continuously. Energy-efficient models reduce this consumption by roughly 15 to 30% compared to standard units. Most contemporary dehumidifiers feature humidity sensors that automatically cycle operation based on current conditions, helping manage energy usage. Proper crawl space encapsulation significantly improves efficiency by creating a controlled environment that requires less dehumidifier runtime, thereby reducing ongoing electricity costs.
