"I could not have been happier with Steve Slaughter and his son Jacob and helper. I especially liked the walkway and raised storage area that allowed for more insulation under those areas. Steve even replaced and wired a sealed led unit in my bathroom shower stall before they blew the insulation at no charge. They even fashioned a hand rail to make entering and exiting the attic easier. Thanks For a job well done! Jim Malek"

"Price was about average, can't complain - don't remember exactly how much or exact service date (disclaimer). Company screwed up the scheduling. Installer was busy with personal life and we had to work around their schedule. Inconvenient. Came out and sprayed insulation in the garage. They left the door open to the basement so the entire chemical smell inundated the basement. The spray was general even but there seemed to be small holes and spaces generally through out the insulation. When I inquired about the small spaces the response was they generally use the small spray cans you can get at Home Depot\Lowes but that they didn't have any. I said I would take care of it myself, I had enough inconvenience with the screw up in scheduling. Other than that went well - it's not that involved, just spray foam.
They did clean up the mess relatively well, but not perfect."

"I love this company! Blythewood HVAC referred me to Mr. Lee. He was kind (to us and his employees), professional and knowledgeable. Mr. Lee and his workers provided excellent service. The insulation was first removed by a machine and by hand then installed new two days later. If you are removing insulation I highly suggest you have the funds to put new insulation right back in. Without it its freezing!

I had no idea what a process it is to install insulation. Mr. Lee tacked up electrical wires, used firefoam, tacked up the hvac tubes, added baffles and then piped in insulation as well as laid it. He also insulated the attic tent we have and the door, all electrical holes and the HVAC returns. Our house is sooooo warm now. Additionally, I found out that Mr. Lee builds homes! I enthusiastically referred him to my parents after seeing what his company did with my attic.

Hire him and enjoy!
"

"
Response to my initial call was prompt, courteous and professional. Written estimate was clear. Installer showed up on schedule and installation was satisfactory. Final billing was consistent with the estimate. There were no unwelcome surprises.

One-year service contract was included in the purchase price; to include two checkup/maintenance visits, one at the beginning of the A/C season (spring) and the other at the beginning of the heating season (fall). Held off on the evaluation to see how they'd perform on that part of the agreement. The "spring" visit took place in early August, after my late-July telephone call. The technician arrived at the appointed day and time, represented his company well, did his work professionally and told me what he had checked, what he had found, and what he had done. It was not his fault that he was several months late.

Scheduling of paid-for maintenance visits is an administrative function and is one of several things that can reflect the culture of a business. The value placed on a customer after the check has cleared is what makes the difference between an "A" business and a "B" or "C" business. If I were to separate their installation performance from their maintenance-contract performance they'd receive very different grades. Would I use them again for installation of a new system? Probably. For a maintenance contract? That's another matter altogether. No individual or business can be perfect every time but, based on this experience, I have some reservations.

"

"Salesman was knowledgeable and thorough. Installation was smooth. A bit surprising that they didn't put all new equipment in. They left some motion detectors from my old service."

"They installed the original system that came with the house when we purchased it. We just decided since they were familiar with the equipment to continue to use their services. They also have a good reputation. They have repaired the equipment when it froze up during an ice storm. They come out semiannual to do an inspection. They check the filters, and the pressure. They check to see if there are any leaks. They do a good job."

"The crew provided professional and fast service, they were in and out within 4 hours. Overall a good experience, but a couple of negatives to mention. The crew could have taken more care in cleaning up. Someone in the crew broke the light bulb in my attic fixture, it would have been nice if they had replaced it before leaving. In the initial installation, they forgot the attic tent.
The positives for me outweighed any negatives. Of the 3 vendors I met with, Mr. Lucas was the most professional, and obviously valued my time as much as his own. He adequately answered my questions, and provided a competitive bid. I appreciated that this is a family run business. Charles or his wife personally answer the phone and set appointments. As for the attic tent, I was impressed that Mr. Lucas personally delivered and installed the attic tent on Christmas Eve.

"
