"After getting a bid from Cady this summer, I hired them to do some work on my house (clean gutters, install gutter covers I'd purchased and fix a piece of siding). They agreed to do the work on September 10 at 1:00 p.m. They didn't show, and they didn't return my calls over the next couple of days. I felt they wasted my time. I gave them an F rating here and moved on to look for other handyman companies. Except that finding another company turned out to be easier said than done (the ones I contacted didn't serve my area or didn't want to do work on a 2-story house or were booked for months). A week later, my contact at Cady called to apologize. He said he'd gone out of town and the people back at the office dropped the ball. He offered to do the work for a reduced fee. I hadn't hired another company and was starting to wonder if I'd find one before winter, so I agreed to hire them. Two workers showed up as promised on September 21. "In 2015, Greene installed an egress window. I was very happy with their work and their company. In 2016, I got their bid to install new storm windows on my house. They also measured and gave me a bid to put new siding on my garage, even though I had only mentioned this in passing and I told them I was not ready to have that done for another year or two. After waiting several months, into the cold weather, without hearing anything about my storm windows, I inquired and got a short, curt email back saying the company was over booked and under staffed and they would not be able to install my storm windows, and that I should get a handyman. Needless to say, I am having to go through another window with my old, non-functioning storm windows."

He also checked in a few times throughout the week to see if we had any questions or had any comments for him.  Our rooms were initially dingy, outdated, and closed in; now we love being in the new updated space!  It's modern, fresh, open, and bright. "AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"Mark and his crew showed up on time (Friday morning) to perform the work.  They initially laid down pads and painters sheets since blowing in cellulose insulation can get quite dusty/messy.  They performed the work exactly as described in the bid.  Insulating my attic to R60 (up from what it was of R12-15) and filled in all the joists, etc.  They even build a wooden platform around an air handler in the attic so it can still be maintained with ease.  One of Mark's co-worker spent most of the time in the basement fixing the frozen pipe issue.  He applied insulation and sealant in a crawl space near the main water line and reseated an air vent behind the wall, while applying more insulation.  He even went to a local hardware store and procured a vent to cover up a hole in the wall we wanted to leave exposed so warm air can flow through (didn't even ask or think to charge me for the vent).  The job lasted about 6 hours (which was exactly what Mark quoted).  They cleaned up with a shop vac so the house looked very clean when they left.
All in all, was very pleased with the professionalism, knowledge and service provided by Mark and his crew.  I proudly displayed a sign in my front yard advertising his services to others and would recommend him to family/friends.

"The estimator was very knowledgeable and explained his products and services very well.  He provided a detailed plan and estimate.
The installation was done all in one day - including removal of the old counter top and the installation of the new counter top - and it was done on the pre-scheduled day.  Sears was excellent at accommodating our scheduling restrictions.  The new counter top looks nice and we are very happy with the result.
There were a few glitches - the garbage disposal leaked and needed service, and it was tough to get an updated estimate when we made a mid-stream change - but we were still very happy with the result.
Note that the Sears office that we dealt with is in Sharon Hill PA, not in Windsor Mill MA as listed by Angie's List, and the corporate headquarters is in Longwood FL.
