Initially, we were skeptical of the cost-friendly solution he suggested for the new wall —- genuine stone veneer applied to cinder block. Veneer? That concerned us: Would it look cheap? Roy assured us that we would love it, that this was not thin slices of stone but thick, substantial pieces. He was right. It’s just beautiful. Thanks to the care taken by foreman Joe and his crew, our trees and shrubs survived the demolition and construction. The crew worked efficiently, cleaned up thoroughly, and left us with well-crafted hardscaping that handsomely complements our 1913 bungalow. "They were very hard working, efficient, and thorough and i would highly recommend Nick, and his faithful crew of workers including Sean, and Chris. They were careful to not make a mess and to clean up the work areas, and they made sure they tested everything. They obtained permits for us for the extra back den stove and chimney pipe. "Seals well enough to keep out any air from coming down chimney,but because of old one being cut out of metal firebox,some cold air still radiates into fireplace and out into rec room during really cold weather. New damper is spring loaded which makes it difficult for my girlfriend to close. Also they kept cancelling appointments  stating they had emergency calls they had to handle first. Finally came on 4th or 5th appointment. Did show up in scheduled time window, did work in about one hour, and left work area in clean condition. This was the most efficient way to do the repairs because of the way the fireplace was built and to replace everything would have been cost prohibitive plus not feasible because of the stone work on the fireplace which is a hard to find lava rock. Biggest negative was the numerous cancellations."

"Luis was great! We provided the materials and, to help save money, I did the demo of the old backsplash and patched any holes that were created during demo. Luis showed up on time and did very fast, quality work. We were very happy with the results and Luis even mentioned that where the splash meets the countertop that some of the grout might crack and pull away. It did and we called him and he agreed to come back with no expectation of being paid. He fixed it very quickly and we don't anticipate any further issues. Based on what our old backsplash looked like compared to our new one, we thought that Luis provided great work for a very competitive price."
