"Al was fantastic! He clearly explained that my fireplace was shutting off as a safety feature due to low oxygen levels. He also reassembled the logs in the firebox and showed me the proper way to start and stop the fireplace. Highly recommend his service!"

"Cleaned fireplace smoke chamber and flue, removed old damper and installed new roof cap and damper, rebuilt crown and completed mortar work inside the fireplace. All work was done as per original time and money estimates and the crew did a good job of keeping us informed of progress and taking pictures to ensure we were happy with the finished product."

"There are 3 questions you must ask and answer with YES when working with a contractor. 1. Will the job be completed on time? 2. Will the job be completed properly and according to your satisfaction? 3. Will the job be completed within the agreed upon price? I can wholeheartedly say that Roy Targia and his team understands this! While my job was not big, it was very important to me. I've always wanted a nice stone patio and firepit in my backyard. When I began my search for contractors, I came across Roy's web site. I contacted Roy via email and I heard back within a couple of hours. The next day, Roy was at my house walking through my vision with me. I had also contacted 2 other companies who took at least 3-4 days just to respond to my initial email. To make matters worse, these companies told me it would take 1-2 weeks before they could even come to my home to give me a quote!!! So I had a comparison, I gave these companies my specifications so that I could receive an email quote. One quote was higher and one quote was about the same as Roy. By this point, Roy and I had already been sending text messages back and forth, continuing to discuss my project. The choice was clear to me and I notified Roy that I wanted to proceed. I was a little bummed because I know that Roy is very busy. He had informed me that he may not be able to get to my project until late June because of how busy schedule. While I had hoped he could get it done sooner, I knew I wanted to work with someone who was honest, straight forward and communicative. I was willing to wait. Roy contacted me on June 8 and told me, if I was available, he could get my project done the following Monday!!! I was ecstatic. I thought I was going to have to wait until July to enjoy my new firepit, only to find out I would have it done in early June! When I have a vision of how something should be, I am one of those people who will not be happy until that vision is met or exceeded. I had not planned for my project to be scheduled so quickly and figured I had more time to decide on things like stone color and whether or not I wanted a border on my patio. Roy informed me that I should take a drive out to Fairfield, NJ to see the outdoor showroom, Structural Stone. When I got there, my vision changed. I started seeing examples of things I loved and I quickly texted all sorts of pics to Roy. I decided I wanted a charcoal border for my pavers patio and a blue stone sil for my firepit. These items would give my patio a more polished look. In many past experiences, throwing any kind of a curve ball at a contractor at the last minute would surely result in frustration and disaster. That's not the case with Roy. He wanted me to be happy and he agreed the choices I was making would result in a better finished product. What I was asking for was going to potentially delay my project another 1-2 weeks according to the people at the showroom. Roy was not about to let that happen. He used his relationships with the people at the showroom and made sure my materials would be ready within 2 days. The following Monday, Roy and his team showed up at my house just as he said they would. They got the job done in 1 day, which was quicker than they had initially anticipated. A huge part of this was due to Roy's foreman Joe. He was an absolute professional; polite, friendly, communicative and helpful. By Monday night, my family and I were sitting around our new firepit talking, laughing and making new memories. I cannot recommend Roy, Joe and the rest of their team enough. I think what made my experience working with Roy the most positive was his exceptional level or personal communication. Success on any project relies on excellent communication and Roy understands that. My only issue with Roy is that he cannot be my contractor for every home improvement project I have."

"They were very hard working, efficient, and thorough and i would highly recommend Nick, and his faithful crew of workers including Sean, and Chris. They were careful to not make a mess and to clean up the work areas, and they made sure they tested everything. They obtained permits for us for the extra back den stove and chimney pipe. I would highly recommend this company for fireplace, stove and chimney work!"

Yes, a chimney liner is essential. It prevents dangerous heat and toxic gases from reaching surrounding materials, reducing fire risks and structural damage.
