"The initial inspection and diagnosis by Jose was thorough and problems clearly explained. Rob then came out to explain our options. He had several scenarios and price ranges for us to consider. He was never pushy or aggressive, only giving explanations of the various levels of upgrades we could opt for. After making our decision on the system options we wanted, the company moved quickly to install the ac. Then came Hurricane Hermaine. No power here for 4 days but the Benson folks kept in contact via cell phones and were at the house and ready to install the very day power was restored. (Labor Day holiday). Installation was fast, efficient and as non-disruptive as possible. The installation crew was very professional and courteous. They had the whole system up and running in one day! Daniel and Rob followed up to make sure we were satisfied and we were provided with all of the paperwork and instructions for our new system. So far all is well and we don't expect problems, but if problems do occur, Bensons will be there."

"Lloyd is the owner of Better Builders and does almost all of the work himself. He assisted me at Home Depot with designing kitchen renovation which was huge considering the layout of the kitchen was completely changed. Nothing was a problem to him, even moving the fridge plumbing and all of the electrical per my hopes and expectations for the newer design. This took a couple of two hour sittings and required someone who understood probability and outcome which I did not. Lloyd was incredibly helpful and PATIENT, I never felt rushed and he even encouraged me to wait and take my time thinking about what what I really wanted. <br /> <br /> Lloyd installed the new cabinets as well as my farmhouse sink which challenged installing a disposal. It took 4 hrs to install it but he never gave up and I appreciate it, especially each time I forget to check for utensils and ruin another fork LOL. He installed subway tile backsplash and despite his reservations always did it my way. I wanted no granite on the back splash which is a newer trend to increase the space between counter and cabinet for height. It also cuts costs! <br /> <br /> Lloyd gutted the master bath back to the studs, removed the ceiling and again reconfigured EVERYTHING using the large jetted tub area as space to create space to build an additional half bathroom accessible from the living area. This required jackhammering extensively for new plumbing locations. the washer/dryer remained in the same area of master bath but I got stackables which he installed himself. He has an excellent understanding of space and designed the bathroom as we stood there and talked. The shower was moved across the room, vanity removed and replaced not to mention the completely new bathroom he added from nothing. He built all of the new walls, ceiling, electrical and plumbing. Excellent. <br /> <br /> The original fireplace mantle and shelving were very basic, he removed them and built new per my specifications with a couple of great additional ideas. They are ceiling to floor shelves and cabinets, truly beautiful and everyone who comes in remarks on how grand they look. Lloyd mentioned Home Depot had kitchen cabinets on sale so I bought those for the bottom part. They look great and saved me alot of $$. <br /> <br /> He also removed an attached screen porch and repaired the siding. He installed my storm door, new light fixtures throughout. <br /> <br /> Lloyd is a gentleman, very cheerful and easy to work with. He did alot of things that were not on my list and was always very gracious. <br /> <br /> My only complaint (wouldn't be realistic if I didn't have one) is once the project was 95% complete he got distracted with other jobs and had trouble getting back to finish up details. However, each time he comes back to do a tweak here and there he always ends up doing more and NEVER complains. He did say he won't do subway tile in a shower my size again and I wouldn't ask him to. It wasn't his primary skill set but it looks good anyway, he can do whatever he sets his mind to. <br /> <br /> Lloyd's price was based on labor. I paid for ALL supplies from grout to electrical outlets to faucets and toilets. <br /> <br /> Clearly this was a huge project, I am very happy with the final result and appreciate all of Lloyd's efforts. The wood floor guy I hired LIED to me saying Lloyd was going to finish the details so I paid him and let him go. Lloyd had told him no such thing but he graciously finished the flooring work for the lying jerk. <br /> <br /> This made me appreciate Lloyd's work ethic once again, very glad I found Lloyd on Angie's list!!!"

"I was contacted by the office staff to make arrangements for the roof repair. Communication was excellent. They crew arrived when they said and began work immediately. The old shingles were removed shortly after noon of the first day. Several sheets of OSB needed to be replaced because of rotten spots. I saw each one and new each needed replacement. The crew did a great job of removing and replacing each sheet. By the end of the first day all OSB along with, the new felt material was placed upon the roof, plus the crew began the metal eaves drips. Before the end of the second day the new shingles were all replaced."

"Tracy and his crew did an amazing job putting ship lap siding over our fireplace/hearth area and installing baseboards in our FSU Baptist Student Center. The painting work was extensive and the work was high quality and the lines were tight. This was a decent size job and they did it well. Very pleased.l"

"Everything in which IGA did for my family and I was out of this world in which serious was unbelievably beautiful perfect and came out to be much more than I could have ever imagined nor expected as well dream of I was in tears is how beautiful of a job they did on my entire home I have pictures if you would like to see. I am willing to go to any extent to help IGA construction become to most known that is the least I can do for all they did for me at a very low price for work that If I went with another company or contractor I would have paid triple plus some and the out come would have never ever been what it is now as I meantioned most beautiful work and a dream come true to have a home that I never thought was possible all thanks to IGA construction Matt as well crew."
