"We moved into our house in the winter and found out that the 70 year old insulation was quite deteriorated and moldy in the fall. We decided to have the old insulation removed so that we could cut down on heating bills and get rid of the smell. I contacted several companies and interacted with Joe from Good Life as the salesperson. He was kind enough to come to our house twice as the scope of the project changed. Both times, he drafted the proposal right at the end of the visit. His professionalism and the quoted price convinced us to go with Good Life Energy Savers. On day 1, the first crew came to remove the old insulation from the attic and used open cell spray foam to insulate the basement rim joists. On day 2, a second crew came to apply blown-in fiberglass insulation in the attic. Please note that the material they use is not irritant at all. Both crews worked really hard and cleaned up very well after they were done. I was especially impressed with the job 1st crew did to remove the old insulation from the slopes on a cathedral ceiling. My only minor complaint is regarding the patch in the ceiling at the end of the job. The guys used paper tape and there were bubbles all around. I guess they were very tired at the end of the day. Initially, I was planning to paint the room myself to cover the patch. But after removing the paper tape (due to bubbles) and using fiber mesh tape and joint compound, I figured I wouldn't be able to smooth the edges of the patch perfectly and hired a professional. Overall, it is a great company that provides quality job at a reasonable price. With the new insulation, the furnace runs much less frequently and I am pretty sure the job will pay for itself very in a few years."

"Gene and his son Ryan remodeled our Master bath. I interviewed many contractors before deciding on Gene and was not disappointed. Gene is the owner and made himself present on the job frequently even though we were not that close to his location. He prides himself on being very responsive to inquiries whenever you have them. He cares about his work and the satisfaction of his customers. This was evident with the way he worked with us during the design and execution. He presented various layouts with suggestions along the way until we were able to finalize our decision. Every job of this type usually runs into a surprise or two. Gene made sure any issues were addressed promptly and to our satisfaction. Another example of how Gene operates is when our new toilet was not flushing properly after first use, he tried to resolve the problem even though it was clearly the toilet and not the way it was installed. Nevertheless, he told me to let him know when the company provided a new toilet so that he can deinstall the old and install the new for us. He did not need to do that. His son Ryan (and Richard I believe) did most of the work. They were both very professional, polite, hard-working, and very clean. There was little to no dust in our bedroom since they made sure to seal the bathroom and utilized a HEPA Filter. They vacuumed every day after their work, never leaving a trace of dirt. He uses top notch contractors for his plumbing, tiling and electric who he has worked with for many years and has a very good relationship with. We are very happy with our bathroom and would definitely recommend Your Way Contractors, and will look to use them for future projects."

Before we found Troy, we had other box store installers refuse to take up the old laminate, while acknowledging the likelihood of bumps and bubbles without pulling up. Troy didn't flinch! He knew it was best to remove the old stuff and start with new sub-flooring, even if it meant the job would be more difficult for him. "I live in and own a 2-family home that has flat rook and that is located in the Bronx, NY. I live in the lower unit and my tenants live in the upper unit, which is right below the roof. Our current and previous tenants would often complain that the rental unit felt cold when the temperature outside fell and my wife said that even when the indoor temperature in that unit was high, the unit felt drafty, which can make the unit feel colder than it actually is as the heat escapes through the roof rapidly. A contractor who installed kitchen for us in that unit told us that our roof had absolutely no insulation- something he saw when he installed the exhaust for range hood. So last year, I decided to call this company for a quote. My hope was that insulating the roof would significantly decrease the release of heat, which would make the unit warmer and reduce airflow (i.e., drafts). When I called, a really nice receptionist answered the phone, took my information down, and answered a few questions, and told me that the owner, Joe, would call me back either the same day or the next. The reason for this is that Joe is usually out doing roof insulations himself. When Joe called back, I was quoted a price of $3.00/square foot, but decided not to go ahead at that time. He was very nice and polite and is willing to answer lots of questions. He seems really passionate about his work and will describe in pretty significant detail what he does. This year, we decided to pull the trigger so we called back and received a quote of $2.50/square foot- a savings of $500 to insulate our 1,000 square foot roof. As you can imagine, that made me happy. We spoke on Friday and set up an appointment for Wednesday (5 days later). Joe and one of his workers arrived with their truck at 7:30 am and were finished by 9:45 am. The process was so much faster than I could have imagined. And, they didn't even have to come inside the house! Joey and his worker used a 40-ft tall ladder to scale the front of the house (it's 3 stories high) and to take their equipment up to the roof. Once up there, they used an electric saw to make a hole (they might have made 2) through which to blow in the insulation. The noise from the saw lasted about 10-15 minutes, after which the work they were doing was relatively quiet. I was actually really amazed at how non-intrusive the whole thing was and how quickly the job was completed. Joey made sure to show me exactly what kind of insulation he was using and gave me written materials about the product he was using (blow-in fiberglass). If Angie's List lets me update this review, I will definitely write back once we have experienced the insulation in cold weather to describe how well it is working."
