"I am so happy that I hired Modern Air! Prompt, courteous, friendly, professional, knowledgeable. I couldnt have asked for better. Tom is a wonderful person in addition to his work ethics. I am never going to use anybody else from here on out. He doesnt try to up sell you or get you to get on their contract program and, he finds the problem and addresses that . In this record heat and being a Saturday didnt deter him I am blessed to have found Tom with Modern Air. He repaired my ac unit. Hallelujah! My unit is only 3 yr old but the idiot company that installed it did it improperly, didnt register it, left all kinds of debris in attic and would NEVER service it. All they want is $$$for new install and leave you hi n dry. Do not use Joe Hope Fl. West Coast A C!! I had to have the ac unit replaced in another house and I called Modern A C again in August of 2020 He is amazing! He came quickly and tore out old and installed new. Very professional. Got a permit. Registered unit. Very clean. Did everything the way it should be and at a reasonable price. I highly recommend"

"Ken called before he came and got here on time. He was alone as he said his helper was not to be there today. He worked hard. Explained everything about my AC unit inside, air ducts and advised of things I could make it better and also what things my regular service checks should look for. He opened and cleaned the entire ac unit of ducts, sucked out, did each register, cleaned those outside and sucked and cleaned out with a roto brush while sucking. Put all back together. Little mess. I just swept floors and vacuumed a bit. His units to decrease mold installed are so much cheaper than any others! This guy is great and busy. Only Takes checks or cash, but only $199.00 for unlimited ducts /one unit. He works hard and alone took 3 hours! Good work. Sanitize also! House is clean! Thank you ! Telling my Neighbors!"

"Had a mini-split unit installed for a first-floor bonus room. The condenser was a Carrier product that ARS facilitated the purchase through Home Depot. The condenser did not work although it was new out the box. It took me continually calling and three months for ARS to finally replace the condenser with another new unit which works perfectly. Note: ARS was dealing with Carrier not wanting to replace the unit... but that pain was felt at the customer level (me) when it should not have been. The contractors that they send out are professional and courteous and follow all protocols during COVID-19."

"1. Work quality hard to see, since duct is in the attic. There were 2 installers who were enthusiastic to do the work and cleaned up, besides disposing the old duct. I did NOT get a picture of the finished work -- that would help! 2. Customer Service was inconclusive, since my initial email of concern was never answered. I received blank email invoices for a deposit receipt. Their customer service were courteous. However, I never thought I was speaking directly to the Company--when calling you had to choose which of 3 different Businesses you wanted ?? The Sales Person was very effective in noting the work and location, where the work took place. He collected a deposit for which he emailed me a blank receipt for deposit. Unfortunately, after departing, he could not be bothered in rectifying the situation and referred me back to that customer service/ Call Center. FYI: NO ONE connected with this Job followed up!! 3. The value for money can only be answered by what my need was, and the affordability. This part worked out very well for me. I had one "problem duct" causing a ceiling vent leak. I could not afford to get the whole house re-ducted, thus, I needed to address the direct problem at hand: replacing one duct, which was better than repair! This is where ONE AIR really came through by just replacing with one NEW DUCT. As result, I paid an affordable fraction of price to accomplish the immediate cause. This bought me time for when I can afford to replenish the whole house. With this consideration and trial I WOULD HIRE THEM AGAIN --AND hopefully the Company will have settled to improve communications. Thank you Angi P.S. I originally wanted to use Strong on your list. James (Owner) kept me waiting 2 Weeks, stalling and then says he wanted to charge $140.00 just to come and see what the job was. After, that he was hard to contact with no response -- and this is how the course went. I decided to contact someone else. I would not consider Strong Unlimited AT ALL!!"

"I called the office at around 7:00 PM - Craig arrived about 7:40.  He spent about another hour rooting through the issues and testing both of the systems that I have and bringing the one back to life - he found a shorted low voltage wire buried inside my outside heat pump.  I still have no idea how he saw it!  Then replaced a fuse in the air handler that blew because of the short.  He spent the time, worked efficiently, answered my stupid questions with good humor and left around 9:00.  He also found that the previous owner of the house had a warranty with them (lucky call on my part to find the service company that had done previous work!) and was going to try to see if the warranty would transfer to us and stay with the house, so he didn't collect any money until, the office could figure it out.  He didn't have to say anything and I never would have known about the possibility.  Honesty and integrity are huge in my book.  I will absolutely use Payne again!  Thanks Craig!"

"West Coast Cold Air, Inc., is a great company. The owner Fernando, is highly reliable and a man of his word. After an exhaustive search to replace a dishonest and failing A/C Contractor who lied to us about his LIC and qualifications, we found West Coast Cold Air on the City of St. Petersburg, FL License Contractor List. After the fact we discovered West Coast Cold Air is registered with Angie List. I called Fernando and he promptly came out to the house we are renovating to assess our HVAC project requirements for an older two-story home that never had A/C. After interviewing nine other A/C contractors with no success due to their insurance coverage or internal business policy preventing them from touching equipment or completing another A/C contractors work. West Coast Cold Air did not hesitate to take on the job and assumed full ownership of the recently installed but abandoned equipment and uncompleted second floor project requirements. Fernando informed us to go to the City Permit Office to change the Contractor name on the recorded HVAC permit to his company's name and guided us through the arduous city of St. Petersburg permit process. The install was completed in four days to include: completing the missing Manual J Air inspection to complete the permit; finishing the install of the downstairs Mitsubishi ductless mini-split systems/outside condenser; sourcing and installing a new Central Air system for the upstairs: installing missing air return ducts for four rooms, and passing the Final HVAC Inspection. In addition, Fernando provided an outstanding insulation contractor recommendation for the attic. We are so happy and pleased with West Coast Cold Air and cannot say enough good things about Fernando's reasonable prices, integrity, and quality of workmanship.
