I had just sold my house, and in the process of moving, the movers broke a pipe that had to be repaired behind a wall on the day we gave possession to the new owners. I called JR Insulation Drywall and they were there the same day I called and did a wonderful job of the repair. Responsive, quality, and for a great price. "This took a couple years to fully complete as I have a Hip (Jack)-roof. The structure blocked off the last 4 feet from the end of the house, where the secondary roof takes over. Unfortunately, voids were inevitable because of all the obstructive joists etc. The next winter this was evident as the snow had melted over the areas that had no insulation. I took pictures, and Ryan sent a crew back to try again. I was happy, but the next winter showed the same voids. A week or so ago, I took out eve boards and found the void(s). Insulated it myself, but realized other end of roof would have the same issue. Called Ryan and he agreed (2 years later mind you) to fill it in for me. Then I drilled a small hole and put a bore-camera in and discovered all center bats had voids of 2 feet or so the length of the house. I scrambled (the night before appointment) and used a hole saw and cut out 7 additional holes through the 2x4 blocks. Too late to call that night and inform them of my new discoveries, I called (almost) first thing next morning to explain the job had gotten a little bigger than a 4x4 foot area. Once he understood the scope of project, Ryan said (as my doorbell was ringing) that they would do whatever needed to be done; just let them know, and call him with any issues. The workers figured out ways to get into the small openings with their hoses and made it work. Didn't argue, very respectful and stuck to it. I couldn't have been more relieved. Thank you for helping me with this issue of 30 years! I just knew my house was cold in winter, and hot in summer. I missed a chance to inspect this area when a roofing job would have allowed me to remove plywood and insulate it then, (as the original builder should have done). This was a "Good 'Cents' Home" from the '70s (PGE program) when insulation was being used to save energy. They just "missed a spot". Thanks everyone. Now my home finally makes 'Cents'!"

"We needed a cavity below our living room bay window filled with blown-in insulation. We were worried that a contractor would not be interested in such a small job. Fortunately, HomeRx came to the rescue with a prompt response and reasonable quote. Samuel got us on the schedule the next week! The installation crew was fantastic. They arrived on time and took great care to protect our living room from insulation debris. They drilled four small holes into the drywall and filled the entire cavity with insulation. Next they did a very professional job to spackle the holes and cleaning up the work area. We could not have been more pleased and will definitely contact with HomeRx for future home projects."

"I contacted 3 companies and they were all wonderful. They came out and gave different bids. They were all very experienced and very good about getting back to me. They were all very helpful and customer oriented. It was only for financial reasons that I had to put off the work. It was for underneath insulation like in a crawl space of the main floor. Only Alpha could do the entire job because of the skill set. They quoted me $1800 and because it was before the end of the year, there would have been a $600 tax credit. So the net cost would have been about $1200. The other 2 quotes were higher on that account. The timing of the work was based on the fact that I had a delay in updating my kitchen. I was hoping that it would be done quickly because they had to have my new sink put in and have all the new plumbing done before they could do the insulation underneath. It was a spray on thing to close up the holes in the bottom of the cabinets which were bigger than the plumbing and breached all the cold air. They were awesome. I will go to them when I have the money to get the work done. As far as affordability, overall professionalism and the fact that they could do the whole job is concerned, they were very good."

"Everything went extremely smoothly. When we first began this project in August 2014, we sought bids from seven different companies. Of those seven, only three supplied bids, even after doing a free estimate and assessing the project specs and saying how easy it would be. It was a really frustrating process and we ended up asking for bids from another five companies without much more luck. We are so glad we contacted Sun Glow. They were the only company (of many, and several Angie's Lists companies) who really showed care and interest in helping us.



They created a bid in less than 24 hours, went out of their way to find us the best possible price and quality, and Kyle from Sun Glow met with me personally to review all the options. it was important to us that we work with a company that takes care of their employees and it is clear that they do based on the customer service we've experienced.



The cost for the project was more than we had anticipated, even though Sun Glow came in with the best quote. We had to wait a few months and Kyle checked in with us regularly. Once we were able to fund the project, Kyle immediately got the install on the books.



The install took about 4 days and Nick was fantastic. He was really patient and helpful with our questions. He did a fantastic job. We did have an issue right after the install that was a manufacture error on the furnace motherboard. They quickly sent a tech out on a Saturday to replace it and we've had zero issues since then.



We are so happy with Sun Glow and our decision to work with them. I would highly recommend them for any future HVAC projects!

"Well we had trouble scheduling at first. He was willing to work one day but I work nights and needed to sleep without hammering. I called him to say I had all the supplies ready and when I woke up a few days later I found he had called me mid day (10:30) to say his guys were coming over. Problem was I didn't have the supplies where they could get them as I didn't know he would be coming like that. I also thought HE would be doing the repairs but he had employees. The first employee he had working on the roof repaired it differently than we had discussed (he said he approved it as it would save materials and labor) and that placing two shorter boards on each end of the roof wouldn't effect the strength of the roof at all. I doubted this but am not a contractor. The employee he had start on the roof couldn't make it the next day (he was later fired for substandard work per another employee-Jason) so another carpenter came out (Aaron.)  Mark (the owner) had told me what I needed for repairing the facade on my outbuilding as well--in case they finished early on the roof. Aaron and Mark's project manager (Jason) tore off the facade and found all the supports were destroyed by carpenter ants, A simple fix turned into a major overhaul. Aaron was wonderful and they both worked hard. Mark had told me that it would be $3200-3600 to make the wall back to the way it was, plus the cost of parts. When the work was completed their definition of back to the way it was wasn't the same as mine. They never planned on replacing the dry wall or insulation. They were able to contact a drywall installer who was able to get the job done within a few days and they came and replaced the trim a few wks later.  Mark bought and placed the installation that night before so it would be ready for the drywall installation.
Mark and his wife were concerned that I was satisfied with the work & repeated several times that they would do what was needed to make it right.
My issues were:
1) the additional expense of drywall ($700)
2) The freezer I had out there had been stuffed full (had bought a new refrigerator & overstuffed the outside freezer during installation.) My neighbor and I had checked the first night to see if the freezer still had power (it did.) Evidently it was turned off sometime later and all the food (at least $400) was ruined. Mark didn't charge me for the trim or insulation to offset this.
3) After the trim was installed Jason left the plastic sheeting, paper floor lining and other products of construction as it was. It took me almost five hours to clean the mess up. I didn't call Mark about this as I was too angry at the time. He probably would have taken care of it himself.
4) I am caucasian. My teenage son's best friend is American but looks Hispanic. I've known him as a diligent student and caring person for six years and consider him my second son. Jason was looking at me and telling me the progress of the work as I was looking at the building. My son's friend came up and tapped me on the shoulder. I turned to look to see who it was & said hello. Jason laughed and said "Oh you know him? I thought he was going to jump you!" I asked him why he would say such a stupid thing--that this young man was like a son to me? I later told Mark and he said he had fired Jason & appreciated the feedback.

"They did a very good job, and they were careful not to damage siding or surrounding landscaping.   Cleaned up the work area each day, and upon completion left the area looking better than before the work started.   The best part -- no more leaking water in our basement.   I waited to write this review until we had been through a couple period of heavy rain.   Thanks Q!
