"I called Budget Locksmith to repair and secure the lock on my sliding door, and the service was excellent. The technician arrived on time, was professional and friendly, and did a clean, precise job. My sliding door now feels much safer and works perfectly. Fair price, fast service, and great quality work. I highly recommend Budget Locksmith for any sliding door lock service. Reliable, honest, and professional. Thank you for the great service!"

"I was told there would be $139 service charge If they came & adjusted the Sliders etc that was all that was needed. I called them back before they came (a week & half after called them initially) to let them know that we have been told we needed the balls replaced and they told me that would be $448+ the cost of the balls, etc. etc. and they would check it out when they came. They charged us $129 as a service call that would not count the actual work. They were the only ones that charged us for a quote which was quite a bit higher than who we ultimately used. Very upset we were charged for them to assess the problem when I had told them what others had told us FOR NO COST."

"Just when you think someone is out of business. Tom to the rescue!!! He deserved a 5-star rating. On time and professional Tom did an excellent job at a very reasonable price. He checked and diagnosed the issues with the sliders, replaced the wheels and made adjustments that make my once stuck sliding glass doors slide like new. To top off the job he cleaned the door runners. I am incredibly pleased with his service and with his company. I highly recommend them and will be the first company I will call for future service."

"Steve has done several jobs for us including electronics, mounting televisions, plumbing, carpentry, irrigation repair, power washing ect... Steve is completely trustworthy to perform as most of the work completed has been absentee and everything was left as clean if not cleaner than before the job was started. Highly Recommended!!"

FAQs for locksmith service projects in Naples, FL

The installation timeframe varies based on door preparation and lock complexity. For doors already prepared with appropriate holes, installation might take 15 to 30 minutes. New installations requiring drilling take one to two hours. First-time DIY installers should allocate additional time to ensure proper alignment and function. Professional locksmiths complete standard installations efficiently due to their specialized tools and experience.

Most residential doors can accommodate deadbolts, but certain door types present challenges. Solid wood and fiberglass doors accept standard deadbolt hardware, while metal doors require specialized drilling equipment. Hollow-core interior doors lack the structural integrity to properly support deadbolts without additional reinforcement. Doors should be at least 1⅜ inches thick to properly house standard deadbolt mechanisms.

Door warranties remain valid when deadbolts are installed according to the manufacturer's guidelines. However, improper installation that damages the door structure might affect warranty coverage.

Before modifying any door under warranty, review the documentation for specific limitations or requirements regarding hardware installation. Some manufacturers provide templates or guidelines for acceptable lock placement to maintain warranty protection.

Rekeying offers a more economical alternative to complete replacement when you need to change access, but the lock mechanism remains in good condition. This process involves reconfiguring the internal pins to work with a new key while retaining the existing hardware. For homeowners with multiple locks, rekeying provides the convenience of using a single key for all entry points while maintaining security.
