"Al was fantastic! He clearly explained that my fireplace was shutting off as a safety feature due to low oxygen levels. He also reassembled the logs in the firebox and showed me the proper way to start and stop the fireplace. Highly recommend his service!"

"We took out the old tiles, removed the toilet and baseboards, and bought the tile before they came to do the installation. The work was done on 9-01-16. When I went to wash off the remaining haze a couple of days later, I discovered that the tiles were two different shades. It was obvious when they were on the floor. The person doing the installation should have seen this. We think he did but, since he didn't speak any English, might not have known how to communicate that to us. We called Pacific Stone & Tile and they said that they would come and replace the tiles that needed to be replaced. We could not match either shade of tile and had to buy two more boxes with a different shade number. Twice an appointment was made and canceled. The third one, 9-26-16, was kept and they redid the whole floor with the new tile. Before they started, all of the tiles were laid out on the garage floor to check for any variations. We had to buy the material to install the tiles, but they did not charge for any additional labor. The floor was checked before they left and everything looks fine. Tomorrow I will wash down the tiles to remove any haze and we can start thinking about getting everything back together again."

"Chimney Chap did an excellent job replacing the termination cap on my Vermont Castings gas stove at a reasonable cost. The two technicians who performed the work were very professional and worked hard to overcome some unforeseen installation difficulties. From my initial e-mail to the installation of the cap, Chimney Chap was very responsive. Meanwhile, some other companies I contacted were unresponsive and less interested in performing a small installation project. I will surely contact Chimney Chap, Inc. in the future if I experience any problems with my gas stove."

"Outstanding - complicated installation in existing great room with large stone fireplace. Carlos and team were able to mount the TV on the stone and route the wiring in the mortar joints to make them nearly invisible. The initial wireless wall speakers didn’t perform well and Carlos Removed them and installed built-in wires surround sound speakers and system has worked flawlessly. Thorough and committed to customer satisfaction and making things right."
Carlos has the speaker installed along with the TV mount well underway. Xfinity cable box, Sonos amplifier etc all concealed down within the homes basement! Out of sight, out of mind!
Carlos installing 1 of 4 RING Solar Cams overlooking the clients driveway.

TV's don't have to always look like a TV. Why not match your TV and audio system to match the aesthetics in your room?
Here we installed a Samsung Frame TV and Sonos Beam soundbar (both in white).

"Kevin (the owner) was extremely professional and did excellent work. He removed our power vent, which was hooked to an oil burning furnace. He then added a new stainless steel chimney of the best quality at a very reasonable cost to us.
He gave us a discount as our neighbor had his chimney done at the same time.
I would hire him again without reservations.

"Our chimney needed to be rebuilt from the roof up. We called Carl for an estimate and he sent someone out who gave a free verbal estimate of $1300.00. We scheduled the work and were told they would come out to do the project as soon as they could, as there were other projects ahead of us. The work was completed during three consecutive days by the same gentleman who came out the first time to give the verbal estimate. On the third day, when the work was completed, Carl's worker stated he would be collecting a check from us that day. He then asked what we were quoted on the formal estimate from the company. This came as a complete surprise to us as the only estimate we had ever received was the free, verbal estimate when he first visited our home. He then told my husband he was under the impression the total for the work came to $1800.00 and then he called Carl to confirm. Because of the miscommunication, Carl agreed to charge us $1350.00. This was a positive aspect in our dealings with the company, although they could have been more communicative and clear regarding a formal estimate in the first place. After the work was done, we noticed a lot of debris on our roof, including broken bricks and mortar from the old chimney. We also noticed that a large piece of mortar/cement had been left under our back deck as well as had been spread over parts of our foundation. We are assuming this was extra and the worker was trying to dispose of it. We also never received a receipt for the work. We should have asked for one when we gave him the check, but we were going out of town and were in a rush. Therefore, my husband called Carl multiple times the next week. Carl never answered his phone and his voicemail box was full every single time. My husband also sent an e-mail to the address listed on the company's website, detailing our concerns: 1) no receipt, 2) debris on the roof, and 3) a free cleaning of the chimney which had been part of a verbal agreement -- and my husband never heard back. Due to their unresponsiveness and the mess that was left at our home, we have given up on contacting this company and will be using a different company for any further chimney repairs or cleanings in the future."

"Joe arrived within the time frame I was given.  He was very professional and personable.  We just moved into a house built in the 1940s and I am not sure if the vents had ever been cleaned.  Joe cleaned all of the vents (9 in total).  He even showed me some of the junk we would have been breathing in... gross!  He sanitized the vents with some sort of chemical fogger to kill mold/microbial growth.  He also recommended changing out our filter to a paper one to improve air quality.  The whole job took about 2 hours, with him working alone.  I have a history of asthma, and my husband and I both suffer from allergies.  Now that the lungs of our home are clear, we both feel much happier and healthier.
Things I knew from researching ahead of time:
1.) A hole will be cut in your air duct so they can clean it.  They will leave the hole there for future cleaning but repair it with special tape and metal.
  • 2.) Expect residual dust/debris to be blown out after the cleaning.

Things I did not know, that I learned:
1.) The air compressor is LOUD!  (FYI if you have pets or children)
2.) The vacuum is quite large, about the size of a large garbage container
3.) More people should get their HVAC systems cleaned
Things I would still like to know:
1.) Why don't the techs wear protective breathing masks for the dust or gloves when manually extracting dirt?
2.) What chemicals are used in the sanitation fog?"

"It went very well. We discussed material and options. I am very pleased with the outcome, Louie and his family took very good care of me. They pay attention to detail. It was heartening in this day and age to find a trustworthy, skilled and good old-fashioned contractor. I honestly can't wait to hire them for the next project at my home. As a single woman, I often feel like a target. I felt protected by Ranieri Construction and the work is simply beautiful. Louie personally selected my granite and all materials."

"My wife and I hired Jason approximately two years ago to repoint our chimney and replace some bricks that he assessed as problematic before adding a screen porch onto our house (the chimney runs through the porch). This is not an inexpensive job. We also brought Jason back to add new lead flashing to the chimney when the porch was being built. After the screen porch was added, we noticed several leaks in the porch roof coming from the chimney area. We originally thought the leaks were due to a step-flashing issue. The contractor who built the porch was extremely responsive and assessed the roof and step-flashing and was unable to determine a leak due to a roofing issue. As the screen porch made it easier to access the upper part of the chimney, I went up on the roof and it was evident that Jason missed repointing several joints and despite sealing the chimney we had moss growing out of many joints. We subsequently noticed the roof on the older part of our house was failing and we ended up doing an entire roof replacement. Before the new roof, we had Jason come back out to fix some of the joints he missed. He was extremely difficult to get in touch with. We had to get in touch with him through the contractor who built the screen porch. He promised to come back and seal those joints which he never did. After the new roof, new ice and water, and new step-flashing around the chimney, we still had the leaks. The new roofer ran several hose tests and determined we had a problem with the chimney. After reinspecting, it was obvious that many joints still lacked sufficient mortar repair. We have kept Jason informed throughout the process, but he never returns our e-mails and is completely unresponsive. I spent hours on the roof myself sealing joints, adding mortar, and then resealing the entire chimney. The chimney has not leaked again since my work. Here are Jason’s own written words that he has not honored, “Yes I garuntee (sic) all my work with a ten year warranty. And again the estimate is as if I were approaching my own home so the idea is you don’t need to worry about your chimney again other than cleaning the flues.” In short, we trusted Jason with an expensive job and when we had an issue, he was entirely unresponsive. We even gave Jason an opportunity to respond to this review before posting. He did not respond. We are giving Jason three stars to be fair as we believe he did a relatively good job on the lower portion of our chimney. Moreover, our situation seemed to be a difficult situation to assess. However, our experience is that Jason will not respond if you have an issue, and the upper portion of our chimney was poorly done. Additionally, as the expert, it was Jason’s job to properly assess our chimney. We should not have had to do any of the work ourselves (or paid for additional materials), and Jason should have given the same level of detail to the upper third of our chimney as the lower third. It is worth noting that Jason was very good at communicating when he was bidding the job and throughout the job. If you hire Jason and have a problem with his work, you should likely not expect a response or remedy from him."
