"I recently purchased gas logs along with custom stonework and a beautiful mantel for my home and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome! The entire project cost $6,200 and it was worth every penny! The mantel is solid and perfectly complements the stone. Installation was smooth and the team was professional and respectful of my home. Highly recommend for anyone looking to upgrade their fireplace!"

"nice clean job and since my buck stove top plate could not be attached due to it being connected to the insert, I was left with a tube of heat resistant adhesive to attach the plate to the fireplace brick once I made some revisions to it.  I use my fireplace 14 hours a day during the winter."

"Bob was very friendly and knowledgeable. We have had issues with our gas fireplace since it was installed by the builder. There was a very bad odor that kept us from using the fireplace, and it was very drafty too. Bob identified the problem right away. He inspected the fireplace, added some insulation to it and cleaned it.
He gave us instructions about what to expect regarding the odor, a description of what different odors mean and told us to call him if the problem persists.

"Denis Dougherty of Philadelphia Brick & Stone Pointing worked over the weekend to fix the chimney that was causing leaks on rainy days and he fixed some sagging bricks. I was away when he worked on them but everything was fixed when I came back. It's been a few months now and still no leaks even with heavy rain."

"Beautiful job! The kitchen counters have nevaska granite, and perla venata quartzite for the kitchen bar. Went in one Saturday, founds the ones we liked, took samples home to test for staining, etching, scratches - both passed with flying colors. Went back the next Saturday to pick our slabs, they came and measured, went back for placement on the stone and they installed the following Friday. They were in and out in a little over 2 hours. Very nice bunch of guys who did a beautiful job, didn't break or ruin anything - it was a pleasure to have a job run smooth and everything look better than when they came. We love the new stone, it looks like we have a bigger kitchen and the stone is so beautiful - we couldn't be happier. I would definitely recommend KOL - they have an extensive selection, will answer ALL the questions you may have, and do a wonderful installation."

"Service delivered as promised. very professional. Thank you. there were small cracks in my fireplace. I am not sure if the need to be repaired at the time. They did not mention anything about that, (not to mention I forget to ask as well). I was not sure if they were not important or they were overlooked?. possibly the fault is on me not remembred  to ask.
Overall, I am very happy with them. Thanks again.

A chimney liner lasts between 15 and 25 years, depending on the material. Aluminum liners last about five years, while cast-in-place liners can last up to 50 years. Regular professional inspections can reveal signs of deterioration, such as cracking or crumbling chimney walls, ensuring necessary repairs are made to maintain structural safety and efficiency.

Yes, a chimney liner is essential. It prevents dangerous heat and toxic gases from reaching surrounding materials, reducing fire risks and structural damage. A well-installed liner safeguards your masonry, directs harmful emissions outside, and enhances heating efficiency. Regular inspections and cleaning maintain your chimney liner’s performance, keeping your home secure and energy-efficient.

Creosote buildup occurs when burning wood releases tar that adheres to the chimney liner, posing a fire hazard. Regular professional chimney inspections and cleanings by qualified chimney sweeps will effectively manage creosote deposits, preventing dangerous conditions and costly repairs.
