"A regular furnace and air conditioning maintenance check on Wednesday, January 13 revealed that the heat exchanger was failing on our 17-year-old furnace.  There were other problems as well.  The condition was unsafe and we decided to replace the furnace and the air conditioning unit which had been installed at the same time, to take advantage of financial incentives and improved efficiency.  We've dealt with Homer Nine for many years, and they were willing to install the furnace immediately, on an emergency basis.  The day after the furnace check, January 14, they customized the sheet metal ductwork and installed a new furnace.  They came back the following Monday, January 18, they returned and installed a new air conditioning unit.  On every occasion, they were punctual and courteous, and described what they were doing.  They cleaned up completely.  This is why we've dealt with them exclusively for many years - a very professional company which treats its customers very well.

He could have done the repairs for $2000+, but if we needed work in the future, nobody would be able to fix it, so we're very happy that we hired someone who is going to give us all the facts up-front. All we ended up paying was the diagnostic fee, which was very reasonable, considering the service we received."

"In October the boiler that provides both heat and domestic hot water to my house expired and could not be repaired. Climatech and one other reputable company came immediately to determine my house's heating requirements and bid on a modern replacement boiler. Climatech was substantially less expensive and they were nice enough to juggle their installers' schedule so that I could get the new system installed ASAP as I had no heat or hot water for several weeks. The new system is much quieter than the old system, is more energy efficient, heats the house better and takes up much less space in my basement. This was an expensive project but I am very pleased with the value received and the service provided."

"The service guys were great. South Hills took the order, but the service guys admitted they had never worked on a pool heat pump in his 35 yrs. of servicing. He said he would do his best to figure the problem out. Two men worked for 2 hrs., but were unable to rectify the issue. They charged me the minimum of $109. The service guys were wonderful, but said there company should never have taken the order."

A video camera was used to show signs of corrosion developing on the heat exchanger. It was not judged to be an immediate issue. An estimate was provided for a future replacement of the furnace and A/C.
