"Outstanding. We had been stood up by two other AC business and I was very so I looked at Angie's List and found Automatic Climate Heating & Air Conditioning. I called and phone was immedtately by the service tech. I told him my problem and he asked how soon would I need a technician to which I replied as soon as possible. He then said he could have someone to us between 11:00 AM and 1:00PM which I said that would be perfect. Told me he would have the tech call when he was on the way. Received a phone call from Matt, the technician about noon to say he would arrive in 20-30 minutes. Matt pulled up at 12:25 PM and after introductions he asked where he could start Showed him to our attic where the upstairs unit was located. Matt came downstairs about 45-50 minutes with one big question which was..."When was the last time we had the units serviced, Our reply was 2002 to which answered many questions." He show us pictures he had taken of some problems (one or two major one and a few minor ones. My wife asked about a service agreement and the cost. Matt explained the types that they offered and that if we took an agreement today, we could exercise the Spring Service so we said we would do it. after a total of 51/2 hours we had air conditioning up and downstairs. My wife and I were very pleased with MATT, He is very knowledgeable concerning his work even on old units that were probably over 38 years old. We were so impressed we asked if we could ask for him if when we needed our fall servicing. He said many of his customers did the same also. On first call, showed up next day, I had let my 99 dollar a year maintenance fee expire in December due to other cost prioritities. At that point the system was working again, so it was 58 dollars for the visit, and I went ahead an  renewed annual policy for 99 dollars also. That night system wasn't working, I took some pics and video of what was happening, they came out again promptly the next day, and was able to diagnose the circuit breaker in house box was bad. They weren't comfortable with the electrical work, so they removed breaker and referred me to Woodfin, no additional charge from Atlantic. Woodfin came out, replaced two breakers, and advised "it's going to happen again, you should replace the whole circuit box" for 1400 dollars, I deferred that because I looked at the main box bus myself, and have a bit of metallurgy background,. I had them just put in two breakers, and added an annual checkup, additional 250 dollars. so basically they charged me 150 dollars to replace a couple of 10-20 dollar breakers. I will probably eventually replace the main box, but I will monitor it for now, no additional damage, so the breakers are doing their job, and it IS an older main panel box. Atlantic needs to have their own inhouse electrical that can do a little more indepth electrical things, but overall a good job, very prompt and good service as usual from Atlantic, they do outsource to Woodfin some, I'm not familiar enough with them to just believe what they say, but they seem nice enough, and have a product to sell.

"I sincerely did not have a problem with the professional service per se, the technician was professional prompt on time, and knew what he was doing. On Dec 9, 2020, it took him about 30 minutes to figure out the problem and found the unit is still under warranty. He ordered the part and told me once the part is received, I will be contacted to schedule replacement. I called the office they did not call me. They were quick in responding and replaced the part on Dec 19. Cost is my main issue. They wanted $119.95 for diagnosis fees which WILL NOT be considered a part of the final repair fees. I believe it’s not a good business not to tell the client beforehand how much you will charge as service fees, they did not. Only after they diagnosed it. After a discussion with the technician, he talked to the office and the service fee was forfeited. The part replacement cost was $403! It took less than 30 minutes, 25 to be exact, to replace. Not sure how the rate of this charge is justified. I was told about the $403 charge right after the first visit but did not have a choice at that point. With all due respect, I understand, as explained to me, they have more overhead budget more than mom and pop shops. I still believe this total repair should not have been more than $250 at the most."

"Excellent service, very fast response to my request for service, picked up laptop, diagnosed issues. Initially thought it was an OS update issue but the hard drive had failed along with other components (including 'CPU). Because other components were involved, a new solid state hard drive was put into a laptop with a working processor - same type CPU as in the failed unit. The laptop was repaired and returned in less than a week. This company picked up and dropped off the laptop (driving from Huntsville, AL (about 60-70 minutes)-- great service in this covid environment. I would recommend this company to my family./friends and will use again."
