"I made an appointment to have check-ups of both my heating and A/C. Standard installed the system eight years ago and I was generally happy with that so I didn't consider having anyone else do the check-up. Everything was working fine and I haven't been doing annual check-ups, partly because I felt it may be better to not fix what's not broke. But I decided it was time to do another check-up, and I'm glad I did. The technician, Connor, was very professional and personable and didn't seem to mind my watching. Everything checked out fine for both heating and A/C, and I learned some things about the system in the process. He found the capacitor on the outside A/C unit tested low, but it was still under warranty so he replaced it for free, a nice surprise. Another surprise came when it was time to settle-up. I expected to pay $107 for the furnace check-up (with a $41 discount I got in the mail) and $148 for the A/C check-up. But he said I could get their Gold Smart Club membership for one year for $191.40. It was available without an automatic renewal and included today's service, so effectively it amounted to a further discount from what I expected to pay. I've liked knowing Standard has my back and knowing exactly who I'll call if a problem arises, and this gives me further confirmation of that."

"My 33 yr old HE Carrier furnace finally gave up. It was a part that would cost over $1000 to replace. At that point, the repair tech suggested I might be better off to put that towards a new unit. I might add he was not pushy in any way, merely making some common sense suggestions. He did locate the part and did offer to do a repair, but economically it didn't really add up. He offered to contact a rep who could be at my house that afternoon (on a Friday). He did show up promptly, we reviewed my options, and settled on a Bryant unit to complement my new a/c unit (also done by Pronto). He told me the installers would be present at 700am on Monday, and they were. The installers were timely, conscientious, friendly and professional. They were also very clean, covering my tile entryway with a cloth, and all of my exposed carpet with plastic, and I didn't have to ask for that. On top of that, they wore shoe protectors as well! The install took about 3 hours, and we were ready to go. They even added a return for the unit at no extra cost. I have to say, I don't write many reviews, but this is one company I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. They take a complex decision and make it really simple and uunderstandable. They never apply selling pressure or steer you towards a unit you don't want. They answer their phones promptly, and keep you up to date with text messages all along the way. The repair tech even reduced the price of my new furnace by the cost of the service call (which I did pay). All in all, my experience in replacing my a/c and furnace units could not have been less stressful, or more professionally handled. More service companies should run their business like Pronto. Highly recommended."

"Brennan Snyder arrived on time and went about his business. I asked him one question about the hazard symbol that I couldn't get rid of on my thermostat. He showed me where to find it under alerts and he cleared it out for me. He expressed his condolences for the passing of my husband--they had struck up a friendship over the years. He checked the A/C system inside and went outside to check the unit out there. He came back and said everything was great. He asked if I had any further questions or if I needed anything done before he left. He was very pleasant to deal with."

"They were excellent. The price did not include the new toilet. They did excellent work. We used to go to a plumber in Hopkins and I don?t remember the name of them. We had something installed in our sink in the kitchen and they charged me $400. Several friends in the neighborhood said that it?s ghastly. Then my wife looked up the Randy Lane on Angie?s list and was like wow. We went to them for the next plumbing repair and I thought that their charges were much fairer. I had to pick my toilet out online to do up this toilet in my house. Then I called a wholesaler which I don?t remember the name, and then the Randy Lane guy went and picked it up and then that was part of my bill. The wholesaler won?t sell it to me directly. They only sell it through the plumber, and that worked very well. When they say they are going to come, they come reasonably on time. They do excellent work and their pricing is great. They don?t overcharge me. I would use their services again in the future."
