"Luis performed multiple projects including patching and painting damaged drywall, painting base of outdoor deck, placing saddles in a number of doorways, repairing damaged concrete floor and installing wood flooring, and adjusting the closing mechanism on a glass door by adjusting the hinges. His workmanship was excellent and he was very knowledgeable about all the details needed to accomplish a good result. I will be hiring him for all future house projects. I highly recommend him."

"We actually got an estimate for the bathroom about 9 months before going ahead with the work.  When Tom came to look at the bathroom again, he stuck to his original estimate.  We added some other jobs that needed to be done, and they charged a fair price for all the extras, with no surprises.  They were courteous and professional, arrived on time and did a great job.  The bathroom is beautiful!  We're waiting for new kitchen cabinets to be delivered, and they will install those as well.  We would recommend All Phases without hesitation.

"Workers arrived on time as scheduled. We had a little snafu with the building rules; my building requires that the hallway from the elevator to the apartment door be covered with masonite.  They were not prepared for this, and providing this service cost an additional $275.  So if anyone else is doing this in manhattan, I recommend you check with your building codes and make sure everything is worked out ahead of time so that there are no surprise extra costs.
The guys were very courteous and efficient.  The floors look beautiful, and there is minimal dust.  Overall, I am quite happy.  I would recommend them.

"I have used Xterior Solutions for several projects including a new roof on my house and garage . We just recently had them install new insulated siding on the house and garage. They also installed new windows in the garage.All I can say is that they did a fantastic job from start to finish. "We had a really good experience working with Hudson Contracting two years ago when we undertook a big facade restoration project on our landmarked Crown Heights row house and decided to reach out to Asm, the owner, about undertaking an interior project this winter/spring - namely gut renovating our kitchen and bathroom. Admittedly, Hudson Contracting isn't known for interior renovations; however, Asm proved to be a diligent, details-oriented and hands on contractor throughout this process. Upon opening our floors we found 7 rotten structural beams (a homeowner's nightmare!). Asm quickly negotiated a reasonable additional quote to undertake the process of replacing the beams and bringing our refinished basement, a causality of the process, back to it's pre-renovation state. For the kitchen, we enlarged the existing window (involving external facade work), upgraded and added new electric/plumbing, moved and expanded the kitchen entryway, combined two existing pantries into one and installed new flooring, walls, cabinetry and all the other little details that come with the process. The bathroom underwent a more traditional gut with new walls, floors and electrical/plumbing. We also swapped out the existing tub for a standing shower. Overall, the project took about 6 weeks and was very reasonably priced. Asm was on hand most days to check on things, which was comforting. My only complaint was that some of the work dragged out, because various workers were on other jobs and/or unavailable to come during the weekday (understandable since Hudson doesn't have electricians/plumbers on its payroll, but frustrating when you're living in a construction zone)."

He was very responsive to my questions and family's needs. There was no pressure to buy or add equipment I did not want or need. My new system was installed two days later. This project involved a historic stone building, built in the 1700's, and located in a designated historical district. (Just for a little background, this building was burned by the British in 1777.) Everything went very smoothly for a project of this complexity. Derek and his crew are all very professional and he has a contract that clearly spells out all rights, responsibilities and remedies available to the contractor and property owner. I've been in property management for over 25 years and this is the first time I've seen this. I've dealt with a lot of contractors over the years and I can't think of one that comes close to the excellent experience that I've had with Derek and his employees.

Everything was completed, weather permitting, in a timely manner. All debris was removed and the site was left in perfect condition.

He will also go above and beyond in order to get the job done right. In this instance, he had to bring I a heavy duty lift to safely perform the highest work. Unfortunately the weight of the lift broke some of the bluestone walkway that surrounds the building. Derek never tried to skirt responsibility and it was decided, after talking to the city building inspector, that the affected stretch of sidewalk would be fully replaced with an asphalt surface. After it was finished he sent me a pic and the work was excellent.

HOWEVER, a couple days later the Dept of Public Works came by and said it all had to come up and be replaced by bluestone. The city, thankfully, would supply the stone. Now, mind you, this was in no way Derek's fault. He had gotten prior approval from the building dept. That notwithstanding, the beautiful brand new asphalt sidewalk was removed and replaced by Derek.

In my opinion, after dealing with many contractors over the years, you'll not find a more professional, competent or skilled contractor than Remodeling Concepts and Derek Loughran. I used him again for a rather large roofing job on another building and the experience was also excellent. I'll be posting a separate review for that project. These projects are not our last ones together.
