"SHORT VERSION Outstanding! Competitive & detailed quote for major window repairs, excellent communication, swift scheduling, timely work, high quality repairs. Positive all around. I know definitively who I'll call next time I need window repairs. LONG VERSION After decades of neglect from the previous owner, and a few years of neglect from us, our 31 yo casement windows were in terrible shape (10 banks of 2). Major rotting of wood sills, sashes, brick moulding, and more. Ronnie & crew in the field, along with Dylan in the office, provided a clear, detailed, competitive quote based on what they could see during the initial inspection. Given the windows' particularly poor condition, they appropriately warned me they might uncover additional repairs while taking everything apart for the quoted repairs. I knew this to be the case from past experience, but still appreciated they called it out explicitly. Ronnie & crew were on-time, respectful, communicative & informative, and ensured I knew the status of the work as it progresssed. During the repairs, Ronnie identified some hidden issues -- though not entirely unexpected (see aforementioned warning) -- which required substantially more work. In each case, Ronnie showed me the newly uncovered issue, explained why the work needed (or did not need) to be done, and confirmed how I wanted to proceed. Most of the additional repairs clearly were necessary to support and complete the originally quoted repairs, so I agreed. In an instance or two, he noted an additional repair was non-critical, and I passed -- no pressure, no problem. We still have 2 banks of 2 windows each, with sashes too far gone to repair, so Ronnie and team are working with me to identify options for sash replacement. Hopefully, since the original model is discontinued and not available, we can use a newer model from the manufacturer (if they fit), But if not, Ronnie is actively working with me on contingency options. I wish all my home repair experiences were this positive. I said it above, and it bears repeating: outstanding! I know definitively who I'll call next time I need window repairs."

"There were three contractors involved in the rehab of our front entrance: Murphy’s Windows & Sunroom for the entry door and staining, The Steam Whisperer for the radiator and Ardrahan Woodworking for the bench. Murphy’s was the lead contractors but all did an outstanding job; as they each not only exceled at their individual tasks, but worked well with each other to ensure a timely finish to the project and minimal disruption to the running of our home. This was critical we have a preschooler and I run a design business out of the house and have clients come through the front door daily! We knocked out the closet and fixed the plaster ourselves so the craftsmen had a clean slate to work with. A cast iron radiator was added to the room to heat the room, but as the walls in this room were not insulated – therefore, the door needed to allow for temperature control between the entry room and the living room. Ardrahan Woodworking built the bench with slots for shoes and to allow heat to circulate from the new radiator. A drawer was added for function, as well as hooks for guests’ coats. (Ardrahan also did their own staining of their own work) Murphy’s then came and installed the pre-hung door they helped me select to fit our purpose. Their craftsmen took a full day to custom build the new trim to match the adjacent door – the match of style was perfect. Finally, Murphy’s sent their stain guy to match the stain – a true artist – as the crown molding in the front entrance was a few shades darker than the living room. So to make the best match he stained the two sides of the door to match the side they are on – and did both sides dead on color! The space is now warm (temperature), open and welcoming. It is everything we hoped it would be and more! All three contractors came in on time, one budget and exceeded our expectations in craftsmanship!"

"They did a wonderful job. They completely replaced the floor of the balcony and the ceiling of the porch under the balcony. They installed a new drain pipe and called a roofer to seal the balcony. It took them about a week and it looks great."

John worked well with the bank getting the paperwork submitted correctly and in a timely manner as well as handling the inspections during construction. My renovations included demolition and complete remodel of the kitchen and bathroom and opening the kitchen wall into the dining room. The job was completed within agreed upon budget and timeline. John and his team offered me suggestion to cut costs and improve my plan. The day to day communication was excellent and the team was professional and trust worthy. "Bob is an excellent contractor, He did lots of interior (bathrooms, kitchens, plumbing, electric, etc) and exterior work (porches, fences, decks, etc) at my two rental properties and mine own house as well. There is not a thing that Bob cannot fix. He responded to me always on time, job was always well done and the price was very reasonable. He has never disappointed me. As a landlord I have always knew that I can count on Bob anytime it does not matter how big was the job. Big five stars!!!"

"The experience was excellent. We called on a Monday and they were able to schedule us in for Thursday, and there was no emergency charge, etc. to come out same week. Joe (the owner) and his employee John were on time, called to say they were on the way, were both very professional, the work was done neatly & was cleaned up after, the repair itself was done very quickly, & they explained what they found and what was done to fix the problem. Joe also gave us the Angie’s List discount (even though I forgot to ask for it) and also provided us a very reasonable quote on some additional ceiling repair we needed done. They were able to give us a more cost effective alternative for the additional repairs we needed as opposed to going the expensive route; again without even being asked. We would recommend them highly to others and will be using this company again."

"We have just had AOM complete work on our home. If you are on the fence about using this company, I hope this review helps. The interior of our home had not been painted since it was built (about 2003). It still had the flat contractors paint and some areas were looking decidedly worse for wear.Being pregnant with a toddler on the loose, we decided not to attempt the painting ourselves. I commenced obtaining quotes. Generall,y when having work of any kind done on our home or appliances, I prefer to go with a company that has been recommended to us by friends or family we trust. So we had a number of companies from around the local area come to give us quotes. However, I spotted AOM on Angie's List and was intrigued by their offers and more importantly, the reviews people gave them.I decided to call them for a quote. Well, they were super fast in getting back to me and David offered to come out the next day to provide a quote. After a walk through and explanation of what we needed, he was able to quote me on the spot.We had a relatively tight schedule to get the painting done. We decided to have it done whilst we were away overseas. Certain past experiences have left me largely mistrustful of giving my home over to anyone while I am away, but after chatting with David and Ashly, the owners of AOM, I felt confident that we were in good hands. We were leaving in less than a month and needed the work done by the time we got back. No pressure. Ashly and David were fantastic in fitting on with our schedule requests. Ashly was so great in helping us to decide on exact colors to match our general idea of a color scheme, coming over more than once to put up paint swatches in the different rooms in different areas so we would be able to tell how it would look regardless of time of day. I can't tell you how many color samples we tried before we made our final choices. My mother in law was gracious enough to offer to be on hand to help out with daily concerns, and the AOm team worked so well with her. She was completely impressed - not an easy feat with her! Before we left we had constant communication with Ashly, who even helped me choose paint scents.While we were away, we got regular updates, with pictures from AOm as well as an online work board so I would be completely in the loop with the work done/to be done. We returned the day before yesterday and LOVE the work they have done. We are so incredibly happy and impressed with the work they did. They did all our ceilings,our walls, fixed cracks and dents where needed,painted the walls and to my absolute delight, managed to get my dinged baseboards and door frames looking like new again.They also took care of the smaller details, like kindly replacing globes they saw had blown out. Today, David came by for a walk through to ensure we were happy with everything. There were a few minor things that he fixed right there on the spot. Needless to say, all their fantastic reviews are well deserved.They work hard, work smart, have integrity, and are so very accommodating to their customer's needs. That they are also trustworthy is a huge thing for me , and I suspect that anyone having work done in their home, whilst they might not be about at all times, will understand this. Give them a call - you will not be sorry. Oh, and their quote? A fraction of the cost we were quoted by the others. We intend on using them for all projects in the future."
