"They came and inspected the house and then went about gathering data using infrared cameras and performed a pressure test. <br /> The information helped to add and augment insulation.   <br />"

"recommend shawn and his team for anyone looking for attic work. We had a super smooth experience working with them. I hired sl designs services to replace the insulation in our attic after dealing with rat and mice problems. We needed the entire insulation and ducts removed cleaned and replaced. shawn and his team worked diligently to prepare our house for the work making sure our interior home was protected bycovering all of the walls and floors, emptying everything from the attic for me, and protecting some other areas of the house. They were very polite and professional, and they did a great job installing the new insulation quickly."

"Mike was a great contractor. When the adjuster gave the amount the water co. would pay for damages. Mike stepped in and had them readjust the amount since they were only giving me have the amount it would cost to fix my basement. Mike went above and beyond to help in a very stressful situation. I would certainly recommend him to friends and family for their next contractor. I will call on him again."

"Eric and Matt were simply fantastic. Arrived promptly, highly competent and professional.  They took pride in their work and cleaned up after themselves. We finally found a handyman company that can provides a wide variety of quality services.  Their prices were much more economical then several other area contractors.  The estimate was accurate and was  provided before the work was scheduled. They did not try to gouge prices are talk you into  unnecessary repairs. <br /> Please be patient when you try to contact them.  I spoke with Eric directly and the overall communication was effective.  They are family run business and are very busy. It may take more than 24 hours before they return your call, but they are worth the wait!  <br />"

"First huge project was to remove a raised "parapet" type structure on my roof's ridgeline that was built up to support and house a double skylight. Look at the top of any "Pizza Hut" building; I'm trying to describe a smaller version of that! The skylight (altho slightly tinted) was basically a hot-air tunnel in the summer and a cold-air tunnel in the winter! It made my house extremely expensive to cool in the summer and heat in the winter (the exact OPPOSITE of eco-friendly)! After discussing several options of tackling this problem, Todd and assistants removed the skylights and disassembled the entire parapet structure. They then patched in replacement sheathing and shingles and installed caps for a water-tight seal. I have a double hip-style roof; they basically lowered the roofline and repaired it to match the other one. Then from the inside he installed a maximum R-38 insulation in the attic space, removed two light fixtures, reframed and lowered the ceiling with replacement drywall; then he spackled, primed and painted the interior new ceiling. I was able to realize immediate savings on my cooling/electricity bill and have continued to save on heating costs over the winter! Throughout this whole project, we had to reassess this or that aspect (such as how low to drop the ceiling in this area). Todd just guided me thru the pro's and con's of each minor decision and we ended up with a very happy solution to a very big problem!"

"It went well. They came out right away when they said they were going to come out. The professionalism of the person that came out was excellent. There was a lot of follow-up. The quote was about $4000. It was fine; I had no problem. We did not use them because it was not as bad as they were saying as it was already demoed at that point. At that point, the ceiling had already been open and everything was exposed underneath. Basically, it was just the carpet that needed to be removed. When I called them on the phone, it was supposed to be less. If the demo work was done by us, then the quote should have been cut in half. But for whatever reason, they still quoted the same. They basically came out in person and most of the work was done. It hadn’t really penetrated. It was more of a mildew issue. We had opened the ceiling and taken out the sheetrock. We had personally removed sheetrock as well as insulation, so we can actually see the studs, which were not affected. That's why I had a second opinion. It wasn’t necessary to go with a full-blown remediation. Basically we just had to remove the damaged area like carpet, sheetrock and the insulation. I borrowed a dehumidifier, so we took care of it ourselves."

"I've worked with Steve before and was very happy with the results, so he was one I contacted for this emergency repair.  He contacted one of his subcontractors who happened to live near to my house, and less than an hour later, there was a guy standing out in the freezing cold, well after dark, snaking the main sewage line out of my hose.  It took almost an hour to clear the clog properly, after which he made sure that all the sewage had drained out of my bathtub and returned to whatever he had been planning to do with his evening previously.  <br /> <br /> Price charged was $185.  I've never had the main line out of my house snaked before, so I'm not 100% sure whether that's a good price or not, but given the circumstances (short notice, late evening, freezing cold night), I couldn't be happier."
